An unusually long mid 18th century French 16 bore flintlock holster pistol, 21½” overall, 2 stage barrel 15”, the octagonal breech gold inlaid with twisted and key pattern bands, vase and foliate scrolls; flat lock with bevelled edges, swan neck cock and squared pan, the cock and lockplate chiselled and engraved and with fish roe gilt panels; fullstocked with carved panels around the mounts, the long spurred butt cap and mounts also chiselled and engraved and having fish roe gilt panels, the butt cap also having a grotesque mask finial. GWO & C (some wear overall and some restoration to the fore-end) £800-1000.

(cover with rim-chip).

VARIOUS FLOW-BLUE BLUE DECORATED WELSH POTTERY including Ynysmeudwy 'Rio' coffee-pot, Cambrian 'Lazuli' patterned toilet-jug and matching sponge-bowl and cover, three plates etc (10)Comments: please view in person to examine condition on all pottery lots, viewing by appointment at Cardiff salerooms Regarding the tall jugs, the tall white one has a chip along the spout, no other issues. The shorter darker jug looks good, no problems. The large teapot has a chip on the spout, the finial has been restored, there are hairline cracks and restoration to the base. There is also a star-shaped hairline crack on the inside base. The small cream jug looks good, no issues. The sponge bowl looks good, slight crazing on the inside at the centre. The large blue plate has a chip around the rim and lots of surface scratches. The small blue plate has restoration to the rim and again lots of surface scratches. The large green plate has surface scratches to the centre otherwise good. Finally, the pair of blue plates, both have surface scratches, little edge wear, kiln dust blisters but no chips or cracks.
19th CENTURY PHILLIP ASHBURY SILVER PLATED TEA CADDY A magnificent, 19th century silver plated tea caddy or casket by Phillip Ashbury and Sons. 22x20cm. Extremely high quality workmanship, loss of silver plate but otherwise good condition with handles, hinge and finial all present and working. Beautifully chased with an empty cartouche.
GLORIA CZECHOSLOVAKIA 19TH CENTURY PART TEA SET An opulent 19th century bohemian porcelain part tea service by Gloria of Czechoslovakia. Teapot 22cm high - no damage. Teacup and 2 saucers - no damage. Milk jug - no damage. Sugar bowl lid finial off but included. Chocolate brown ground, heavily gilded with decorative panels.
An Ormolu/gilded metal cased mantle Clock, having a domed porcelain face with a central reserve beautifully decorated with a flower garland, the turquoise perimeter with reserves having cobalt blue Roman numerals, the case with three oval and one rectangular porcelain panels depicting respectively a lady of elegance, angels/putti and to the plinth a well portrayed bird amongst flower blooms. The nice quality brass movement having a rear count wheel and chiming on a bell. (Pendulum absent and some damage to the case). A related wooden plinth is included. The movement is impressed ''F.C'' and numbered ''3200'', ''4 11'', 11 1/2'' wide x 14 1/2'' high x 4 3/4'' deep including plinth, (finial detached but present).
A George V Silver Christening-Mug, by Manoah Rhodes and Sons Ltd, London, 1913, another by James Dixon and Sons Ltd, Sheffield 1943 and a further example by Atkin Brothers, Sheffield, 1945, 16oz 10dwt, 513gr (3). Marked near handle. The cover apparently unmarked. There is wear to the marks which are only just visible. The date letter is only half clear. There is overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as an overall softening to the decoration., The hinge has possible been repaired and so the cover doesn't close properly. The glass liner may be a replacement. There is a crack or inclusion to the cabochon finial.
