Poole of London, rosewood bracket clock with brass floral inlay to front, sides and edges, pineapple finial and standing on four ball feet, glazed door to back showing workings and pendulum, with key to lock door and winding key, marked J. Poole London to roman numeral dial. Untested. Further details: generally stable and good condition, slight wear, minor loss etc.
A 19th century Indo-Persian Zaghnol or ‘Crow’s Beak’ axe. Polished wooden haft with knop finial. Iron head with stylised dogs heads decoration, plus a square cross section spear point to the tip. The tang to the spear point is set into a slot cut into the haft, and extends around two thirds of the length. The tang is secured to the wood by means of 4 diamond shaped rivets. The flat square section of the axe head has a small hole set into it, which has possibly had a small elephant finial in the past, but is now absent. Approximately 64cm length. Condition: Generally good and solid. The wood haft has a good even colour and patina, with a just a small age related crack to the knop end. The axe head has darkened with age, with just some light surface rust spotting in places. The axe head will swivel if turned, but is still securely set onto the metal mount.

Two gilt-brass and agate tazze, probably Viennese, late 19th century, each mounted with garnets and turquoise opals, the larger modelled as a kneeling figure supporting an oval ribbed agate dish with cherubim, the figure within a scrollwork fence atop a lobed quatrefoil base with repoussé foliate motifs and four cherubim feet, 8.8cm high; the other with a circular ribbed agate dish supported on carousel with four horses, the circular base with shield motif fence and trefoil arch repoussé decoration to four cherubim feet, the centre with a finial modelled as a bird perched on a tree branch, 8.4cm high (2)Condition Report: Oval tazza with kneeling figure - the agate tazza has a hairline fissure running from one side of the bowl and across the middle. The garnets and turquoise opals are intact. The mounts with typical wear and light tarnishing. The enamels with some miniscule scratches.The tazza modelled as a carousel - the bird mount to the centre is missing a nut and is not attached. The base is missing one turquoise opal. A Doccia porcelain baluster coffee pot and cover, c.1770, puce //. mark to pot, each side moulded with mythological scenes, possibly with the children of Niobe being slaughtered, below a gilt scalloped band border, the double-scroll handle with a shell thumbpiece, the scrolling spout with a bird’s head tip, the domed cover gilt with loose bouquets of flowers below a knop finial, 23.3cm highCondition Report: Overall in good decorative order. The spout is not perfectly straight and leans slightly to the right when viewed from the front, some firing flaws are present to the crest of the bird head, and some signs of either firing flaws or restoration are present to the scrolling attachment between the body and spout. Some light surface dirt to the body. Some minor pitting throughout. The unglazed footrim with expected wear.
A large Bohemian amber-stained glass goblet and cover, second half 19th century, the flared bowl engraved with a stag and two does in a woodland, on an octagonal-knopped faceted stem and spreading petalled foot, the cover with spire finial and scalloped edge, 48cm high Condition Report: A flat chip to the edge of one petal of the foot, a couple of impurities to the knop, otherwise in good condition with light surface dirt and dust, the remains of felt lining to the underside of the foot.

The colours are good and gilding is largely intact. General light wear including scratches to the porcelain can be found, as well as surface dirt to the borders of plates and in crevasses of handles. One chocolate cup cover has been broken and amateurly restored, one chocolate cup saucer has a recent clean break, the pieces are present and can be restored. A Worcester blue and white porcelain teapot and cover, c.1755-65, blue workman's mark to teapot and cover, of barrel shape with a loop handle, one side moulded with a chinoiserie landscape with a man fishing in a boat beneath a willow tree, the reverse with flowering prunus, between foliate scroll borders and enriched with underglaze blue flowers and foliage, the cover moulded with flowerheads and a flower finial, 10.5cm high; together with a Bristol porcelain leaf-shaped pickle-dish, c.1770-80, blue cross mark to underside, the underside naturalistically moulded with veins, the upper side painted in underglaze blue with flowers and foliage within a blue border at the rim, 8.5cm long, 9.5cm wide (2)Condition Report: Examined under UV light. The teapot: there is a large hairline crack which loops around the top terminal of the handle and down across the length of the body, the tip of the spout has a replaced section and an old repaired crack, the inner rim has several minor losses and rough edges, the flowerhead finial is missing two petals and there is a flat chip to the rim of the cover, with further small cracks and knocks to the cover's inner rim, heavy scratching and wear to the embossed details, general surface dirt and pitting throughout. The pickle dish: several minor losses to the feathered rim, general light surface dirt and pitting throughout.

A Victorian Police Inspector's White Metal Tipstaff by Parker Field & Sons, 233, Holborn, London, circa 1870's/80's, with brass screw-top crown finial, ring turned ebony grip, the lower section stamped with maker's name, 19cmFootnote :- usually made of brass. A 19th Century Crown Derby lidded tureen, together with matching sauce tureen, 19 cm high excluding handle (broken), a 19th Century Davenport pearl ware lidded tureen with blue decoration, 22 cm high including finial, a Staffordshire greyhound ornament, 11 cm long x 8.5 cm wide x 4 cm high and a 19th Century Gustave Asch of Tours Herbiniere and Siroteau cobalt blue and gilt decorated cruciform wall mounted offering bowl, stamped and signed to back, bears remnants of paper label, 20 cm wide x 29 cm high (5)
A Chinese Qianlong Period blue and white export ware coffee pot with floral and bamboo decorated tapered cylindrical body, the associated lid with watery landscape decoration and gilt decorated knob handle, 24 cm high CONDITION REPORTS The lid is associated, the gilding is worn to the finial, in need of a good clean, The pot itself has hairline cracks around the top and the base of the spout as well as the larger area around the base of the handle. Has various firing faults throughout and some small chips to the glaze, predominantly to the handle and the spout. Otherwise general wear and tear conducive with age and use to include light surface scratches, in need of a good clean etc - see images for more details

Of tapering, cylindrical form with a faceted spout and wooden scroll handle, the hinged cover with knopped finial and the body engraved with coat of arms, 23cm high, approx. weight 26.2oztProvenance: Property from the estate of the late David Cornwell, best known as the author John le Carré.Footnotes: Arms: Vair on a canton Argent a lion rampant, Crest: a demi lion rampant.Family: probably Stanton. (With thanks to Pursuivant Research)Condition Report: The coffee pot is in good condition commensurate with age. Some general scratching, nicking and minor pitting noted. A few deeper scratches in places. Some bruising and minor dings noted to body. Some unobtrusive solder noted at joins of handle sockets to body. Hinge in good condition. Some minor bruising and a small split noted to end of spout under 10x magnification. Possible small repairs/reinforcements to hinge where connecting with socket and cover. Of baluster form and raised on four shell bracket feet, the finial to the hinged cover modelled as a recumbent greyhound, the coffee pot with reeded banding to body and engraved initials to one side, the scrolling handle with ivory insulators, 23.5cm high (inc. handle), approx. weight 29.1ozt Ivory submission reference: 5RBQDPPL Condition Report: The greyhound finial stamped with the lion passant hallmark only.

Hoaching, Canton, 19th century. The stand, cup and cover decorated with an engraved foliate band, the cup raised on a knopped stem to a stepped foot and designed with bud finial to domed cover, the circular stand raised on three ball and claw feet, both engraved with monogram, stand 11.1cm dia., cup 14.2cm high, cup and stand approx. 15.5cm high (2)Footnotes: With thanks to Dr. Adrien von Ferscht for his assistance in identifying the maker of this piece
A 19th century Russian cloisonné enamelled silver sugar scoop. Mark of Gustav Klingert, 1899-1908. The gilded bowl decorated to the reverse with polychrome enamelled flowers, scrolls and foliage in pink and blue hues, assay master's mark indistinct, 84 standard, 11.8cm long, together with a parcel gilt cloisonné enamelled spoon, Moscow, 1908-1917, probably D. Nikitin (1893-1917), the reverse of the bowl decorated with flowerheads and foliage in pinks, lilacs, blues and greens, the twisted stem to an enamelled, knopped finial, 84 standard, 16.2cm long (2) Condition Report: The scoop and spoon are in good overall condition commensurate with age. Some general surface scratching and nicking to both. Heavy tarnish in places. The handle to the scoop is slightly bent. Some minor losses and scratches to enamel. A small hole noted in the enamel to the handle of the scoop. Loss to a small section of the wirework border to the scoop. The metal to the reverse of the bowl of the scoop and the spoon looks to be silver gilt, but the gilding is very heavily tarnished. A small hole noted to the knopped terminal on the spoon. Approx. dimensions: Spoon bowl diameter 5.1cm, approx. depth 1.3cm. Sugar scoop: length of bowl/scoop 6cm, width 3.8cm, depth approx. 1.3cm.
