The movement with twin weights and pendulum. The face marked for Gregory Sewell Senior of London having brass spandrels and body with silvered roman numeral chapter ring, date aperture and subsiduary seconds dial. A 19th century Austrian ivory and silver mounted tankard, bears mark to the lid for 1857: the domed hinged lid with satyr finial and scroll decoration, having a figural thumbpiece to the scroll handle, the ivory body carved in relief with bacchanalian putti and revellers, on an embossed oval spreading foot 17.5cm. high.

J.C. Peters is also recorded as working there from 1858 until 1865.

Sword: A 19th century hunting hanger. Unfullered slightly curved blade with clipped back point. Armoured mark (?) to both sides of blade, deeply stamped with image of a crowned head. Clawshell guard with knucklebow decorated with a figure. Staghorn grip. Crossguard with acorn finial. Brass flat pommel with winged head decoration. Blade 22". In a possibly later military type brass mounted leather scabbard (leather worn) This lot requires viewing. Interesting lot.
Sword: A 1786 Pattern Infantry Officers sword. Cypher of George III with crown to the 32" blade. Thin traces of blued finish with stronger gold etching of the crown, flags etc. Twin fixed rigid shell guard. Gilt guard with acorn type finial. Urn pommel with wooden grip. Viewing recommended. No scabbard.
A George IV silver three piece tea set comprising teapot, milk jug and twin-handled sucrier, each with faceted and embossed floral and fruit decoration (by William Hall, London, 1826), teapot approx 15 cm high, 52 oz CONDITION REPORTS Teapot finial has been rescrewed, there is a dent to one side, and another dent to the other side. The spacers are cracked. Handle has several dents, the base is not quite level and teapot wobbles, also appears to have had a repair to the base and soldered. Sugar bowl does not sit straight and wobbles slightly. Milk jug has been squashed to one side on the base and is dented. General wear and tear including knocks and dents, tarnish, etc.
An early 20th Century parasol with carved ivory three section handle, the top section decorated with figures in a landscape, the centre band with alternate panels of floral decorated form and plain form, and a further profusely floral decorated end containing a blank shield shaped cartouche, all below a lacquered cane shaft, floral decorated silk parasol and a turned and ringed ivory finial, handle 18.5 cm long, 97.5 cm overall CONDITION REPORTS Overall with wear, scuffs and dirt. The silk is extremely fragile, disintegrated, split and worn and with various tears, holes, fraying etc. The ivory tip has some yellowing and discolouration, scuffs and scratches. The carved ivory handle has yellowing, dirt and discolouration, a few small chips and cracks. The cane has various wear and stains. The opening and locking mechanisms have not been tested due the fragility of the silk.
An Arts & Crafts style painted pine hexagonal box of font form with bronze bracket embellishments and twin disc finial, raised on a tapered hexagonal foot, 56 cm high CONDITION REPORTS The top finial is loose. There are bruises and scrapes all over, and especially on one corner of the lid. There is some bubbling of the varnish, there is discolouration to the top of the base where is joins the box. The interior is plain. One hinge is loose. General wear and tear.
A 19th Century Chinese .90 silver and relief work decorated three piece tea set of squash form with embossed floral decoration, the twin-handled sugar bowl featuring a bird of prey, the finials in the form of gnarled lotus flower branches, the handles as bamboo (by Wang Hing of Hong Kong), teapot approx 12 cm high, 35 oz total CONDITION REPORTS Teapot finial is loose, teapot lid is loose and the hinge is broken. The spacers are cracked, there is a blob of solder at the base of the handle, although not visible from the inside. The sugar basin lid - half finial is missing, there is a dent to the body where the bird is. The milk jug has large dent to the body. All items have general wear and tear including small dents, scratches and especially scratches where the loose finials spin round, residue of cleaning fluid, dirt.
A circa 1900 Chinese blue and white and crackle ware vase and cover decorated with figures in a garden setting in the Kangxi manner, 36.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Overall look appears OK, with craquelure design to the glazed areas of the vase. Large areas of damage to the neck all around. Also appears to have restored damage to the finial which has at some stage become dislodged and replaced.
A Chinese Qianlong Period teapot, polychrome decorated with flowers in a fenced garden, together with an associated lid with lychee finial, 10.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Pinhead firing faults all over. Firing fault to the inside of the spout. Wear to the gilding and enamel. Chip to end of spout. general wear. The steam hole to the top of the lid has chips both inside and out. Wear and dirt.
Two similar 19th Century silver plated warmer tureens with pierced decoration and heavy acanthus decorated handles, raised on four similar scroll feet, with associated Victorian silver lids of squash form, with engraved acanthus and C scrolling decoration, to a shaped edge, the finial as an acanthus covered gourd (by Richard Sibley II, London, 1852 and 1879), each with engraved armorial cartouche and motto inscribed "Arduis Saepe Metu Nunquam", approx 62 troy oz in lids total CONDITION REPORTS Please note that these are similar but not a pair. Same maker but different dates, one is 1852, the other is 1879
