(13.3cm.) high; together with another late-18th century sucrier and cover with puce swagged and gilt decoration, gilt heightened pine cone finial, 5.5in. (14cm.) high; a Worcester tea bowl of wrythen form, blue & gilt thistle decoration, blue crescent moon mark, small chip; and four other pieces of late 18th and early 19th century English porcelain. A fine Worcester porcelain hexagonal vase and cover 1770-1772, decorated in the Bangel Tiger or Dragon in Compartments pattern, the baluster vase with conforming domed cover with knop finial, the vase with a wide band of gilt diaper pattern decoration to the base reserved at each corner with a stylised flowerhead within C-scrolls, the main body of decoration featuring six shaped reserves depicting dragons, vases and a tiger standing on tables, within faux-shagreen borders, the shoulder with gilt flowered ovals to the corners divided by iron red hexagons on a green ground, beneath a decorative gilt band to the neck, 15.25in. (38.5cm.) high, two pieces detached from neck, hairline cracks to base of cover.
A 19th century carved ivory chess set stained red and natural, all pieces with beaded rim to the base, the kings and queens of turned and carved form, the kings with urn finial, the queens with ball finial, the knights with horses` heads on ring turned stems and black painted eyes, the bishops with widely split mitres, the rooks are raised turrets with flared carved collars, the pawns of simple ring turned form, the kings 8.7cm. high, the pawns 4.2cm. high, one red pawn replaced, two pawns with replaced bases.
