John Pratt of Nottingham. An early 19thC mahogany and oak longcase clock, the swan neck pedimented hood with a brass finial and roundels, partially inlaid, raised above a half sized cross banded trunk door flanked by quarter columns, on ogee bracket feet, with a raised 31cm W dial, with painted spandrels and a hunting scene to the arch with Roman numerals and subsidiary Arabic secondhand and date aperture, signed I Pratt, Nottingham, with an 8-day movement, striking on a bell, 220cm H.

A centenary of the Great Exhibition of 1851, the festival aimed to prove that Britain had recovered from the recent devastation of war, recession and severe austerity.
A circa 1960s Royal Worcester pot pourri, the pierced cover with gilt finial, the body with twin handles, hand-painted with apples and grapes, signed Freeman, on pedestal base, with black printed mark verso and numbered H314, h.28cm (restored). Pot – has been restored to the rim (average standard), gilt does not quite match, some light rubbing/scratches to decoration, base appears OK.Lid – gilt lightly rubbed and scratched.
