A Japanese cloisonne enamel vase and cover, with lavender coloured finial and decorated with two panels with dragons and birds, the enamelled base decorated with four flowers, 9cm CONDITION REPORT: Overall appearance is good. Exterior decoration is good. The cylindrical lined interior is tarnished and grubby but otherwise good.
A Philips 6 inch terrestrial globe, on ebonised stand, 27.5cm high, possibly lacking a finial CONDITION REPORT: Ebonised base worn. The paper is lightly browned and with some scuffs which have taken away the colour of the paper, two slight areas where the paper is lifting a little. The paper ruffled / creased throughout the equatorial regions. Overall fair.
A late 19th / early 20th century century continental carved walnut and stained wood eight day longcase clock, c1900, with Roman numeral chapter ring, subsidiary seconds and date dial, with movement striking on a gong, within an elaborately carved and shaped case decorated with a maiden, 209cm H CONDITION REPORT: There is a fininal lacking and the central finial to the hood is damaged to the block base. The left hand side of the carved swag to the underside of the hood door is lacking. There is a loss to the block detailing to the right finial on the base. The sides of the clock have some hair line cracks. The clock appears to have been overhauled but not toon recently. The movement is not original to the case and may be earlier. The hinges to the door are not original. General age wear patina throughout with some degradation to the varnished finish. Overall appearance ok. The movement may be made up from older clock parts
A Victorian silver plate mounted and frosted glass preserve jar and cover, 13cm high, with a Victorian silver plated three piece tea service, with ivory finial and decorated with ferns, with other plated item and three silver mounted scent bottles (the globular example cracked) CONDITION REPORT: Trevanion & Dean does not ship items containing ivory or tortoiseshell outside the EU. The government have proposed legislation to create a UK law to ban the sale of all ivory which sources suggest will come into effect in June 2019. Please note this means that this lot is legal to sell now but may not be in the future.
