A George III mahogany crossbanded oak longcase clock, 33cm arched painted dial. convex Arabic chapter, subsidiary seconds dial, date aperture, floral spandrels, Adam and Eve automaton to arch, twin winding holes, signed Mawkes/Derby, the eight day movement striking on a bell, hood with swan neck cornice terminating in brass stamped roundels, centred with a ball and spire finial, turned columns, shaped door to waist flanked by canted angles, outswept base, bracket feet, 218cm high, c.1830 ***William Mawkes was the fourth son of Thomas Mawkes (1740-1821) a former apprentice and employee of the celebrated John Whitehurst, FRS. William, who was born in 1782, worked with his father until his death and then on his own account until c. 1830. This is the first recorded example of an automaton clock by this maker.
A Coalport two-handled chocolate cup, cover and stand, in yellow, ball finial, c.1830; another, decorated in monochrome, with flowers and foliage (2) Coalport cup has an extensice crack in the lid that has been repaired. Other, gilding has faded on the saucer and there is a chip inside the lid.

An Edwardian silver tea caddy and cover, by Herbert Charles Lambert, London, c.1911, of rectangular baluster form, the cover with pine cone finial, decorated with cartouches and with flower head border, surmounted by floral swag and ribbon decoration, on four paw feet, 12cm high x 9xm wide x 6.5cm deep; with a further quantity of miscellaneous silver and white metal items to include a christening cup, snuff box, fork, apostle spoons, a dish, straining spoon and tongs, (a lot), (approx gross weight 26ozs).
A Chinese yixing jade and white metal mounted calligraphic teapot, possibly by Long Xi San Ren (1881-1937), the cover with white metal and jade mounted finial, the ovoid body mounted with white metal and jade spout and handle and overall incised with script, bearing impressed four character seal mark to verso, 15.5cm wide; with another Chinese barrel shaped calligraphic yixing teapot and four further Chinese yixing calligraphic vessels, all bearing marks to verso, (6).

Anglo-Norman Silver-Gilt Polyhedral Pin Finial10th-12th century AD. A beautifully detailed pin terminal, the top with an incised circle enclosing a panel of gold foil, the four sides similarly decorated, each including an inscribed curvilinear lozenge filled with niello; the upper corners flattened, enclosing roundels; the lower face with an indentation where the pin was originally affixed. 10.22 grams, 12.19 mm (1/2"). Published in the 2001 Treasure Report (Case 2002 T86). Found North Ormsby, Lincolnshire, England on 24th November 2001; reported as treasure and disclaimed. X-ray fluorescence analysis conducted at the British Museum indicated an approximate silver content of 96 per cent. Fine condition, the pin lost in antiquity. Rare.Starting Price: £200
