An Aesthetic ebonised mantel clock, after a design by Lewis Day, with a pottery dial painted in blue and gilt scrollwork, with stylised Arabic numerals, striking the quarters, labelled 'Depose 45158' and a registration mark, 43cm high CONDITION REPORT: Finial re-glued to the top. Top with split and a number of holes to the top, moulding to edges with some expansion. Appears to be working. Fabric loss and worn through to the back door/wider with damage. An early 19c eight day longcase clock, the 13"" arched painted dial signed Grove of Upton and having indications of the Welsh, Scots, English and Irish in the corners and a picture of the Duke of Wellington in the arch. The dial has Arabic numerals, date and seconds indicators and matched brass hands. The standard movement has anchor escapement and rack striking on a bell and is contained in an oak and mahogany case with swan neck pediments to the hood with a central ball and eagle finial and fluted columns flanking the dial. The trunk has fluted quarter columns and the rectangular trunk door has a central diamond shaped inlay and a band of edge stringing, the base has similar stringing, bracket feet and a wavy base, 90"" tall overall.

JAPANESE SATSUMA KORO with stylised chrysanthemum finial and pierced lid, squared twin lug handles on the squat circular body, on tripod feet, decorated to the body with a fighting warrior scene, signed to base, 18cm high The lid has been broken and repaired in several areas and has a piece missing, one leg has been broken and repaired, rubbing to gilt.
