A fine late 19th century brass and cloisonné enamel mantel clock with a pair of associated vasesJapy Freres, no.12309The highly elaborate architectural case with elaborate pediment and finial over four urn finials and four bevelled glass side panels, flanked by slender columns on toupie feet, the 3.75 inch brushed brass Roman dial set with paste stones around the bezel and centre, centred by a cloisonné mask with blued-steel hands, the signed movement with Brocot escapement striking the hours and half hours on a blued-steel coiled gong. Together with a pair of contemporary, similar cloisonné vases on raised plinth bases set with a paste stone border and painted with two Classical scenes set within a cartouche. An impressive second quarter of the 18th century French tortoiseshell boulle inlaid bracket clock with original bracketBrezagez, a Paris. The case and bracket both stamped MarchandThe waisted case surmounted by an ormolu finial of embracing lovers over applied cornucopia and floral mounts and foliate scroll feet, the door centred by a large mount depicting a playful cherub hiding a key from an excitable puppy, on the matching wall bracket with concave sides set with smiling cherubs heads to each corner and tipped by a lattice-work finial; the cast dial with central bird and foliate scroll decoration enclosed by twelve blue Roman cartouche numerals, framed by an engraved minute band engraved with each number, the enamel makers signature plaque set just below VI; the rectangular movement untied by five vase shaped pillars, with (replaced) anchor escapement striking the hours and half hours on a bell mounted in the caddy above via a numbered outside countwheel, signed in engraved copperplate script along the lower edge. A George III Irish silver teapot, oval form with bright-cut engraved decoration, ebonised handle and carved ivory pineapple finial, by James Scott, hallmarks Dublin 1802, height 17cm, 18.7ozFair overall condition, there is one small visible split near the handle around the top back edge, teapot has also possibly been dropped as the handle is slightly dented into the body, the body and spout generally have a few visible dents, finial has several chips and bits missing from its base, hinge working perfectly with a tiny hole around the lip, high points and decoration are quite rubbed, hallmarks on base are clear.

A Japy freres mantle clock in the chinoiserie taste, with dog of Fo finial and two lion head handles, the enamel dial set with Roman and Arabic numerals inscribed "Howell and James Paris and London" and No'd. "643" to foot, 26.5 cm high, together with a Continental cachepot, the turquoise ground with gilt decoration and two painted decorated panels, raised on lion's paw feet and separate stand, 17 cm high overall CONDITION REPORTS Clock. Has both key and pendulum. Has crazing and wear to the gilding throughout. The enamelled dial has wear to the hands. One key hole - the wire edging is out and loose. Enamel dial especially to the writing is worn. There is some damage to the clock face opening on the right hand side and damage to both front feet. The tail of the dog of Fo has had some repairs. Unknown if in full working order but it is ticking and hands are moving. Cachepot.Has a large hairline crack and wear to the gilding throughout, a hole and hairline fractures to the base. Both items have general wear and tear. The clock especially is in need of a good clean. See images for more details.
A 19th Century Newhall type silver shape teapot with polychrome decoration of flowers, approx. 15 cm, together with a further 19th Century pearlware bullet-shaped teapot with polychrome floral and insect decoration, a Samson chocolate pot of conical form, approx. 12.5 cm and associated cup and saucer, together with a 19th Century pearlware plate CONDITION REPORTS Silver shaped teapot - has possible repair to the spout. Chip to the lid. Bullet shaped teapot - has chip and hairline fractures to the spout. Samsom chocolate pot - has a chip to the rim and large chip to the underside of the lid. Finial has been off and glued badly. The matching cup - handle is off and missing, various chips and hairline crack to the body. The matching saucer - has been damaged and repaired badly, large chip still missing.Plate - has knife marks, firing fault to the back and discolouration to the underside and heavy wear to the gilding and paintwork.All items have general wear and tear conducive with age and use including wear to the decoration, gilding and enamel work. All in need of a good clean. Minor chips, losses, etc throughout. See images for more details.
A 19th Century Delft lidded jar of baluster form, 50 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Has crazing throughout. Areas of glaze are not present to the finial and to the base but this appears to be during manufacture. Otherwise general wear and tear conducive with age and use and in need of a good clean. A Chinese Qianlong famille rose decorated tureen with pomegranate finial flanked by elephant head handles circa 1750-60, bears label to base dated 8.3.84 inscribed "Doctor Clive Rouse", 23 cm long by 15.5 cm wide CONDITION REPORTS Has general wear and tear to include firing faults, some minor losses to the enamel ware, in need of a good clean, surface scratches, etc. Conducive with age and use. See images for further details.The lid does to appear to belong to the base, the gilding and scoll on the brown flowers certainly matches and from a shape point of view a fit.
An early 19th Century Chinese vase of ovoid form decorated with panels of two women and child, raised on a scrollwork base with shallow domed lid, 13.2 cm high, together with an associated hardwood stand CONDITION REPORTS The lid has several large chips and losses to the enamel all over the finial. The vase itself has two large chips to the rim as well as one area of loss to the scroll work at the base. General wear and tear to include dirt, surface scratching, wear to the enamel, etc. The stand has an area of loss to one section of filigree work and wear and tear conducive with age and use. A George III longcase clock, inscribed Robert Lough, Penrith , the arched brass dial, with Roman numeral hours and Arabic minutes and date dial surmounted with a moon phase to the arch, fitted with an 8-day movement striking a bell, contained within an arched hood with swan-neck pediment and brass finial above a glazed door flanked by turned columns, above a mahogany trunk with shaped panel door and raised on a panelled box base with shaped ogee bracket feet. 245cms high.
