A boxwood strung Mahogany cased Longcase Clock having an arched dial with Arabic numerals, inset second hand and date register, the arch with an atmospheric rural scene in olden times with a young lady carrying a basket, her dog gamboling along at her side, a church visible in the distance beyond a lake framed by mature broadleaf trees. To the corners of the face are well painted sea shells and sea weed. The face bears the maker's name "W. Coulson, N. Shields" and the eight day two train movement strikes the hours on a bell, 96 3/8" high x 20" wide x 9 1/4" deep, The arched hood is flanked by spherical finials and there is a 2 1/2" high central plinth present, for a finial but the third finial is absent, the clock was running during the days of cataloguing.

The upper part of the wood handle is decorated with painted black band. The circular body is wrapped with leather fastened tight by a metal clamp with two stone settings and one noose with a string and pendant running through it. The top is decorated with a circular metal piece, the outer edge with alternating extensions representing one or three diamonds, enclosing an ornamental pattern, the center topped with a stupa-shaped finial.
