A small Worcester teapot and cover c.1756-60, the baluster body printed in black with the Tea Party No 3 pattern, a couple seated at a table in a garden and taking tea, the reverse with the Maid and Page print, the faceted spout and handle with pencilled motifs, a few tiny nibbles to the floral finial, 15.5cm across. The red tortoiseshell boulle veneered case is embellished with brass mounts and overlay taking the form of acanthus leaves and putti, with large brass finial of a single putto sat atop a globe. The glazed front panel frames an embossed brass dial with enamel Roman numerals, and reveals a sunburst pendulum. With matching bracket. Eight-day, two train movement striking on a single bell.
