A LARGE AND HIGHLY DECORATIVE FRENCH ORMOLU CLOCK, late nineteenth/early twentieth century, the simple French two train movement enclosed within a central drum with enamelled Roman numerals, (some damage), the case decorated in a fantastic mixture of Baroque and rococo styles, with a large urn finial, numerous 'C' scrolls, coquillage and cast fleur-de-lys decoration, terminating with an Amorini holding a trident riding a winged water dragon, reputedly in the showrooms of Mercedes Benz, London in the 1920's, 49in high (124cm).
