A George III baluster-shaped coffee pot, with later decoration, the domed hinged lid with urn finial, the body with acanthus leaf and vine moulding, on circular foot, maker`s mark of Joseph Steward (probably), London 1767, approx. weight 14 1/2 troy oz (all-in) NB. As well as later decoration, this item has a replacement lid hallmarked for London 1800.
Bloor Derby lidded tureen and stand circa 1820 painted with titled scenes of `View in Wales` and `View near Derby` within a gilded navy blue border, printed and painted marks to bases, (3) the stand measures 22cm wide Condition report: the lid and finial have staple repairs. Five enamel flakes to one painted scene. Mild stained crazing in and gilt wear in areas.

A French CuirassierÂ’s helmet c 1870, steel skull, brass binding to front and back peaks, black fur turban, ornamental brass comb with Medusa head finial and grenade, leather backed chinchain and ear rosettes, red tuft plume in socket, red feather side plume in socket, black horse hair trailing plume (restored), leather liner. A 16 bore flintlock holster pistol by Twigg, c 1820, 13½Â” overall, octagonal barrel 8¼Â” with Birmingham proofs and engraved “London”, plain flat stepped lock with safety bolt, swan neck cock and roller on frizzen spring, plate engraved “Twigg”, the plain walnut fullstocks with rounded butt, brass mounts including engraved trigger guard with pineapple finial, and horn tipped wooden ramrod. Good Working Order and generally crisp untouched condition, the lock and barrel with dark patina. Plate 32
A good quality 48 bore flintlock duelling or officerÂ’s pistol c 1785, 14½Â” overall, heavy sighted flat topped round barrel 9” engraved “D. Egg-London”, the plain flat stepped lock signed “Lett” in script, with flat swan neck cock, roller on frizzen and raised ramp on frizzen spring, the “step” of the lock being the concealed safety catch, walnut fullstock with shell carving around the flower engraved breech tang, and with oval silver escutcheon engraved with the initials “RK” surrounded by twisted silver band, the blued steel mounts including finely flower engraved trigger guard with acorn finial, single set trigger, and engraved domed butt cap, original horn tipped ramrod with steel worm. Good Working Order and generally Crisp Condition, the mounts retaining most original blued finish (the barrel rebrowned, very minor repair to split in fore end) Plate 36
An officerÂ’s 16 bore percussion holster pistol by E & W Bond, 14¾Â” overall, flat topped round twist barrel 9”, engraved “...ond, 45 Cornhill, London”, lock of flintlock form, with safety bolt and engraved with scrolls and “E & W Bond”, walnut fullstock with rounded chequered butt, brass mounts including engraved trigger guard with pineapple finial and engraved butt cap, swivel ramrod. A cased double barrelled 14 bore percussion sporting gun, 46¾Â” overall, Birmingham proved twist barrels 30” engraved “London” on top rib; locks engraved with scrolls and “Manton”, walnut stock with chequered fore-end and wrist and with scroll engraved steel mounts including elaborate pineapple trigger guard finial. Good Working Order and Condition (front ramrod pipe missing, barrels lightly pitted overall); also a good 36 bore percussion underhammer walking stick gun, browned twist barrel 32¼Â” with London proofs, action engraved “Edwd. London Gun & Rifle Maker, 51 London Wall, London”, walnut handle with thread for attachment of shoulder stock, the hole filled by an engraved screw when not in use, together with its nicely figured and polished stock with engraved steel mounts and an interchangeable 7” browned twist barrel; all contained in a green baize lined fitted mahogany case, the lid with a large brass escutcheon engraved with a crest, containing a 30 bore pincer mould, plain bag shaped copper flask, nipple key with pricker, turnscrew, good quality shot flask with German silver charger, mainspring clamp, barrel key/ nipple key for the walking stick gun, Kynoch cap tin, cloth wad bag, etc. The whole in Good Clean Condition Plate 41
A double barrelled 30 bore flintlock holster pistol by Wogdon & Barton, c 1795, 13½Â” overall, rebrowned octagonal barrels 9”, flat stepped locks with safety bolts and raised pans, barrels and locks signed “Wogdon & Barton” in script, walnut halfstock with flat sided rounded butt, engraved steel spurred trigger guard with pineapple finial, and replacement horn tipped ebony ramrod. A very fine brass barrelled flintlock shipÂ’s musketoon, or boat gun, by Bumford, c 1760, 50½Â” overall, barrel 34” with 1¾Â” bore, belled muzzle and early style London proofs; signed rounded line engraved lock with swan neck cock and bridled frizzen; plain walnut fullstock with raised apron around breech tang; brass mounts of early ordnance pattern, with bulbous trigger guard finial, wavy flat sideplate and flat butt plate; with its original brass tipped wooden ramrod. A Fine Chinese Yellow Jade Vase Group, probably 18th c., carved as a flattened baluster vase with scroll handles, a bat in clouds and a hydra dragon, domed lid with a lion finial, on a lingzhi and cloud base beside a small open pot, Spink & Son label, height 5 in., wood stand, overall height 6 1/8 in.
