Sheffield, 1909, maker's mark: Robert F. Mosely. 43 Troy ounces overall, approx. CONDITION REPORT: Appears in good complete overall condition, a little dirty, some dings and surface wear scratching as expected, one or two slightly larger dents to oil burner, no obvious major damage or losses.

White metal mount with bunch of grapes finial, underglaze blue, rectangular seal mark to base. 3.25" high (9cm) approx. Provenance: London Estate of an eminent Chinese collector. CONDITION REPORT: Chip to base rim. Minor firing flaws as expected. Screw top works well. A little dirty. Finial a little squashed flat to top indicating it may have been dropped. Pin hole to top indicating it may have had another piece of foliate decoration.
A CHINESE CARVED IVORY CONCENTRIC BALL OF SEVEN RETICULATED SECTIONS, the exterior overall decorated with figures and foliage, having pendant mount in the form of a standing figure with chain and carved ivory fish terminal. The base with lower finial in the form of foliage and fruit. Overall 13.5" long, the ball 2" diameter (33.5cm overall, 5cm diameter). CONDITION REPORT: Overall good condition, a little discoloured with age, some vertical cracks, very minor chips and losses in places. Detailed condition report on request.
LATE 18th CENTURY WELSH OAK 30 HOUR LONG CASE CLOCK BY EVAN WILLIAMS OF TRECASTELL, the herring-bone strung case having broken swan neck pediment above arched aperture flanked by turned columns, shaped and moulded waist door flanked by quarter pilasters on a panel base with bracket feet. Arch painted face with Roman numerals, decorated with boy and sailing boat together with church near bridge and shell spandrels, also having arched date aperture, the face 17.5" x 12.5". CONDITION REPORT: Overall in fair condition, commensurate with age. Splits to rear panel, face very grubby, finial missing, pillars may be replacements. Detailed condition report on request.

A very fine Regency rosewood twin pedestal chess table and accompanying carved ivory chess set in the single fitted drawer. The canted gaming top with penwork decoration has a checkered centre board with each square decorated with a flower head and under a wide border of acanthus scrolls and with two panels decorated with Classical farming scenes. The plain frieze is edged with bobbin turned moulding above double baluster supports over a swan neck plinth with further bobbin moulds and raised on squat bun feet, 74.5cm high, 71cm wide, king pieces 12.5cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Chess set intact, red king with a chip to the crown, white king finial re glued, red bishop with a rough patch to one side of the reeded column otherwise all pieces in good condition. The table is in overall very good condition. With expected marks and wear. Penwork top has survived remarkably well. Structurally sound. The loop handle to the original key is broken but still functioning.
