A LATE 18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY WELSH OAK DEUDDARN, having moulded cornice over two recessed pointed ogee panel doors with drop finial`s, the projecting base with two freize drawers over two blind panel doors standing on square style feet. C1800. Cardiganshire. 37" Wide x 21" Deep x 71" High.
A courtsword, c 1900, slender triangular section blade 30”, etched with trophies in foliate panels, ornamental gilt brass hilt, the turn down pierced shell guard incorporating crowned arms with supporters and motto “Nihil sine Deo”, crossguard with grapes finial, panelled pommel, scrolled MOP panel grip, with gilt locket and remains of scabbard. A good 22 bore Greek or Albanian flintlock holster pistol, 18½” overall, the 11½” barrel entirely overlaid with panels of engraved silver vines and leaves separated by borders of cable, leaf and pellet design, the French lock engraved with flower head and “Moular defour a St Etienne”, the entire fullstock of heavy embossed and chased WM decorated with flowers, trophies and panels, the bulbous butt of writhen form, the butt and butt cap further decorated with gilt panels, flowers and buttcap finial. Lonergan Locomotive brass Triple Tone Whistle complete with horizontal lever mechanism. Measures 10" tall including the top acorn finial and 9½" diameter. Additionally, the operating valve and lever add a further 2¾" to the height. Valve knuckle is clearly stamped with the makers name `Lonergan` on both sides. Ex loco condition throughout.
