A Small & Impressive 17th Century Italian Walnut Centre Table attributed to Bologna. The circular single plank top above a guilloche carved frieze standing on column legs with bold inverted acorn knops, and united by an X-form centre stretcher of turned balusters centred by a turned finial. The curved peripheral stretchers enriched with nulling and raised on compressed bun feet. 23½ ins (60 cms) in height, 25 ins (63 cms) in diameter. ]
A Fine & Rare 16th Century Oak Dressoir of unusually small proportions. The top having a deeply moulded pediment surmounted by a turned finial. The back having an upper panel of triangular form accentuated by the central triform petal carving and channel-carved borders. The canted cupboard section having panelled sides and a central door with a quatrefoil iron back plate. The ogee shaped aprons divided by pendant finials over hanging the chamfered back legs and base shelf, raised on block feet joined by run moulded rails. 74 ins (189 cms) in height, 28½ ins (72 cms) in width, 14 ins (36 cms) in depth. ]
An Unusual & Macabre 17th Century Wrought Iron Pricket Stand incorporating a human skull at the centre-point; surmounted by a large obelisk finial and enclosed by four twisted iron straps. The crossed arms having four iron spikes and dragon head terminals pierced with large hoops. The long knopped stem incised with zig-zag ornamentation and terminating on a triform base with up-turned scroll feet. 70½ ins (179 cms) high, 28½ ins (65 cms) wide. Marti & Co., flanked by column corners and with metal battle plaque scene beneath and with square stepped base raised on a mahogany plinth. Width 10.5 ins, height 15 ins (see illustration).
A French black slate clock, with architectural case having a Gothic finial to each corner, with caddy top to centre with pineapple finial, the dial with applied metal Roman numerals and with visible Brocot escapement and two-train movement by Mougin, flanked by fluted columns with Corinthian capitals and with stepped base, the whole incised with leaves and bellflower.
