A good lacquered brass table top telescope, c 1865, 3" diam objective lens, body 37", eyepiece extension to 18" with screw fine focus to finial 2½", detachable objective cover and sliding eyepiece cover, detachable brass pedestal with 3 folding legs, height overall 18", in its fitted mahogany case, 40" x 8½" x 5", name engraved on body "F M Moore Dublin and Belfast". A late 18th century silver hilted spadroon, the straight SE blade cut down to 16½" during its working life, etched with Royal Arms, crown over "GRIII" and scrolls, silver hilt with 5 ball knucklebow (well replaced), ball finial to crosspiece (replaced inverted), typical squared pommel and band engraved with number "15", the grip of fluted ebony, in its silver mounted leather scabbard with 2 hanging rings. Basically GC (patches of deep pitting to blade, scabbard worn, chape battered)
