A George II silver coffee pot, maker's mark unclear possibly by either Richard Bayley or Richard Beale, London 1734, of tapered cylindrical form on a moulded circular foot, with an urn finial, engraved with a coat of arms, the base engraved with intials H over W*S, 23cm high, 20oz CONDITION REPORT: No obvious major faults. Scorching and splits to handle.

A pair of rare No.2 Hornby Series Lamp Standards. Each with two hanging glass globes on lattice posts. Non lighting examples, both complete with winding handles and rectangular bases. Plus a pair of Bing street style lamp posts, each with a single glass globe mounted on a solid blue and gold lined metal post with round base. Each topped by a brass finial. One glass discoloured and one broken. QGC-GC some age wear. See Plate 1

An early 18th century silver mounted oval section lodestone with swivel finial handle, one pole with an engraved 'N' to the steel banding, width 31mm, maximum height 40mm. It is in an apparently later bent cedar box, the lid of which is indistinctly inscribed and dated 1760? (See illustration)

Rare and exceptional D. José (1750-1777) Portuguese silver coffe pot Molten, chased, chiseled and engraved silver of exceptional desing and execution. Circular base, baluster form body with rocaille decoration in relief and engraved representing flowers, architectonic motifs, scrolls, shell and others floral motifs; the spout of profuse chiseled decoration with serpentine frieze; bell-shaped cover with pierced finial representing urn with festoons; carved rosewood handle with chiseled silver terminals representing shell motifs. Coimbra assay mark of Francisco de Assis Ferreira (reg.1789) (C-3) and I maker’s mark (unknown until now). Note: We’d like to stress the quality and rarity of this piece and the shortage of pieces of this importance with Coimbra’s marks. Rara e excepcional cafeteira D. José Em prata portuguesa do séc. XVIII. Prata fundida, repuxada, cinzelada e gravada de excepcional desenho e execução. Assente sobre base circular, corpo em forma de balaústre com decoração rocaille saliente e gravada representando flores, elementos arquitectónicos, enrolamentos, concheados e folhagem; o bico em colo de cisne parte do corpo da cafeteira com profusa decoração finamente cinzelada ao gosto rocaille e enquadrado por serpentina ondulante, seguindo estriado e terminando com ligeiro cinzel; tampa em forma de campânula com pomo cinzelado e vazado em forma de urna com festões; pega em pau-santo entalhado com remates em prata cinzelados com concheados. Marca do ensaiador de Coimbra Francisco de Assis Ferreira (reg.1789) e de ourives I da mesma época, não inventariado.
