A Gothic Revival enamelled gilt metal ciborium, of circular form enamelled with angel roundels and arabesque decoration, on moonstone cabochon set knopped pedestal circular base, the domed cover modelled as a church roof with four arched windows set with garnet cabochon finials with an orb and cross finial,35cm high CONDITION REPORT: Areas of loss to enamel. One of the fan shaped parts of gallery on cover has come off and been resoldered. Surface scratches to interior and exterior. Probable repair to collar of base of stem and splits beneath.Other fine cracks to foot, correspond to patches to underside so perhaps manufacturing flaws. An extremely rare George II Scottish silver coffee pot and salver en suite,by William Aytoun, assay master Archibald Ure, Edinburgh 1736,the coffee pot of tapering cylindrical form on moulded circular foot, with wooden scroll handle, the domed cover with ball finial, engraved with coat of arms with motto `Nil Temere` above, with scratch weight 26=8 to base,23.5 cm high, 26.5oz,the salver of shaped circular form with moulded rim resting on four hoof feet, engraved with crest and motto above, with scratch weight 14=6, 23.5cm diameter, 13ozThe coffee pot bears the arms of Argent on a chevron sable with an otter`s head erased and the crest of a mermaid proper holding in her dexter hand an otter`s head erased sable, in her sinister a swan`s head also erased proper. These arms, crest and motto are those of Balfour. Arthur Balfour was the grandson of the third Baron Balfour of Burleigh. A rare Queen Anne West Country silver trefid spoon,probably by Richard Sweet III, Honiton c.1713,struck thrice with maker`s mark SW crowned in an oval punch, with scrollwork decorated rat-tail, prick dot engraved R.M over M.R 1713 on reverse, 21.25cm long, 1.5 ozSee pages 135,136 and 137 in ÈWest Country Silver Spoons and Their MakersÉ by Timothy Kent, published by J H Bourdon-Smith, London 1992, where this mark is mentioned and illustrated. The Sweet family dies for laceback trefids are very distinctive and it seems that they were shared around the family. Further research by Mr Kent in `The Finial`, vol. 17/05, pp.10, concludes that this mark must come from the Honiton workshop of Richard Sweet III. With thanks to Tim Kent for his help cataloguing this lot. CONDITION REPORT: Surface scratching and light wear to bowl.No other obvious major faults.Please view additional images (upon request).

A Dutch five-piece silver-mounted blue glass cruet set,by Jan W Pas, Nijmegen 1795/1811,comprising:four salts,of boat shape on pedestal oval feet with beaded borders, with plain scroll handles and reeded upper rims, 9cm high and 11.5cm long, anda two handled mustard of urn shape,the domed cover with reeded knop finial, 13cm high,with a silver mustard ladle,in addition a set of three silver mounted glass coasters,of plain circular form with fine beaded borders, 11.5 cm diameter (9) CONDITION REPORT: Some nibbles to glass bodies. Top rim of mustard is coming away from the blue glass lines. Appears to have been re-glued, with some damage to rim of glass. Two salts have repaired splits to rims. Areas of tarnish to all salts. All salts have the silver rims coming away from the glass and loose bases. Dishes have scratches and rims are loose and worn in placed. Please view additional images (upon request).

A set of four Rörstrand custard cups and covers late 19th century, the spiral-fluted forms painted with bright flower arrangements, the domed covers with fruit finials, printed marks, a chip to one finial, 10cm. (8) The form of these cups copies the shape and decoration of those produced at Marieberg in the 1760s, the Swedish factory in turn copying the contemporary custard cups produced at Mennecy.
