Stock has small splits to fore-end, with minor bruising. Lovely patina.

Orange rust pitting to barrel. Split to fore-end at the muzzle, with a sliver of wood missing below the frizzen spring. The spurred pommel is damaged.

Rust pitting to barrel, cock and lock plate. Minor bruising to stock with small slivers of wood missing beneath butt cap.

A Pair of Early 19th Century Officer's 16 Bore Percussion Pistols by H W Mortimer & Son, converted from flintlock, each with 23cm octagonal browned steel barrel bearing traces of engraved maker's name to the top flat, with signed lockplate engraved with a border of husks, slide safety, walnut stock with steel ramrod pipes, engraved trigger guard with pineapple finial, and with dot and chequered bag butt, 38cm, in a later oak case, the green baize lined interior fitted with a cleaning rod, turnscrew, cap tin and steel bullet mould, with a reproduction maker's label to the inner coverBoth actions work, hold at full and half cock. Barrels have been cleaned off and rebrowned at some stage. Only traces of engraved maker's name to the barrel flats. Pitting to the lock plates, hammers and trigger guards. Each pistol has a small sliver repair to each side of the fore-end at the muzzle. The bullet mould is pitted. The case is not original to the pistols.

Lot 1079

A George III longcase clock, with eight day striking movement by W Durham Dunbar, the oak case with long trunk door. Height including finial 220 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Whilst we have both weights and the pendulum, we have not had the clock running. When weight is applied to both the going and strike trains, the movement does however appear to operate. The dial is in reasonably good condition with only minor blemishes and rubbing around the numerals particularly from IV to IX. The case is in generally good order with no significant issues. The trunk door is not warped and there are no significant cracks, losses or damage. The feet are original and all present.

Lot 1254

A George III mahogany longcase clock, Samuel Pearse Honiton, with Father Time automaton to arch and with eight day movement. Height including brass finial 242 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The movement winds on both trains and is currently ticking away. When the hands are advanced the movement strikes. The minute hand is detached and bent but present. The automaton is operating. The seatboard is old and the cheeks have not been built up. The mask around the dial fits well. The case is generally in good order. It looks to have been re-polished in fairly recent times. There are some minor repairs around the extremities. The trunk door fits well with only very minor warping. The plinth around the base is probably a later edition but the colour is a good match. There is a joint stress fracture on the front base panel. We can see no evidence of any woodworm.

Lot 351

A silver oval caddy of large form, with egg and dart moulded rim and lip. 804 grams, Birmingham 1934 maker G.M. & S., not recorded. Width 18 cm, height including finial 16 cm.

Lot 56

A pair of 19th century Chinese lidded vases, decorated with gilt chrysanthemum. Height 34 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Both vases in this lot are damaged, each with chips of at least 0.5 cm in depth to the rims. One also has significant cracks running from the top of the rim down into the body of the baluster vase. Both have wear and chips to their bases. Decoration is worn in places. One of the lids also has significant and noticeable losses to the rim and the finial.

Lot 107

A pair of Festival of Britain 1951 Staffordshire style flat back figures. Height 20 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a clear repair to the unicorn flat back. This repair is evident around the right-hand finial that has been glued. There are further repairs to the top left edge of the ceramic item as well. Otherwise overall on both flat backs there are no cracks or losses. There are however areas of ingrained dirt and imperfections to the glazes along with some areas of pitting.

Lot 1242

A Georgian lacquered longcase clock case only, mask, aperture, width 29.5 cm, height to top of arch 40.5 cm, height from bottom of arch 29.4 cm, overall height excluding finial 218 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The case is structurally sound with no serious issues. There are some minor traces of what is clearly old long gone woodworm to the top glazed door extremities and the side return mouldings. There are minor nibbles and scuffs to the case but no major problems. The door is not warped and closes as it should. The lock is present and we have the key. The base has rubbing through to the softwood around the extremities and the usual scuffs and marks around the plinth as one would expect. There do not appear to be any significant repairs.

Small underside chip.Vase - small nibble to one edge of the base, another edge on the base has a line of gilding loss. There is a white residue, possibly paint, just above two of the upper band of jewelling but they do not appear to be restored. Three jewels on the lower band have splashes of accidental gilding. There is one small section of probable gilding retouching around the edge of the Greek Key section, which is darker in colour and matches the finial. There is also a dark green modern gemstone stuck to the interior which won't come out
