Together with a George IV silver two handled sucrier overall with relief cast and chased foliate decoration. Having two loop handles and standing on four foliate feet. London 1821. 16oz approx. 8.5" Diameter max.

One sabot is off and initialled `FL`.

A Victorian Walnut domed Tea Caddy, of rectangular form, inset with parquetry bands, and the mainly void interior missing both lids; together with a further late Victorian Mahogany and Walnut Tea Caddy, of rectangular form, with boxwood stringing throughout and with decorative nameplate and escutcheon (both missing mother-of-pearl insets), interior fitted with two lidded compartments (one finial off lid missing), 8" and 9" long (2)
1st King`s Dragoon Guards a pair of Officer`s copper gilt undress shoulder scales, circa 1840-55, the crescents applied with laurel sprays overlaid with silver scrolls bearing the battle honour WATERLOO, centered an applied silver KDG badge, finial buttons of regimental pattern. Two screw fasteners replaced otherwise good condition and with traces of gilt finish.
A Prussian Officer`s pickelhaube, the leather skull applied with embossed brass fittings with traces of white metal finish, comprising Prussian eagle helmet plate with applied crowned green enamel shield to the centre, velvet backed chin-scales, spike finial with cruciform base, this secured with star head bolds, three replaced, Prussian cockades, leather and silk lining. Shrinkage to both peaks, white metal finish rubbed.
A 28 bore flintlock duelling pistol by Twigg, c 1775, 15" overall, sighted octagonal barrel 10" with traces of "Twigg, London" on top flat, gold touch hole, flat stepped lock with swan neck cock, ramp on frizzen spring and roller on frizzen, the plate with second type "Twigg" signature, plain walnut fullstock with flat sided butt and shell carving behind breech tang, steel mounts, the trigger guard with acorn finial. GWO & basically GC (cock cracked, top of comb and top jaw and screw missing, some deep pitting to mounts, 2" of fore end missing) Well worthy of sympathetic restoration.
†A fine cased Belgian 6 shot 12mm open frame DA PF revolver, 10½" overall, octagonal barrel 6¼" stamped at the breech "Lefaucheux Bte, Acier Fondu", the frame numbered 49960 and with external halfcock spring on the right side, the barrel, cylinder, frame, grip strap and trigger guard profusely overlaid in gold with scrolls, tendrils and lines, the barrel also with "Bertonnet en Buenos Ayres" in panels, bag shaped butt with lanyard ring and plain ivory grips. GWO & C (some surface rust, a few pieces of gold overlay missing), in its original rosewood veneered case, the brass bound lid also with inlaid brass lines and escutcheon, the lid lining gold impressed "Betonnet, Calle San Martin 50, on Buenos Ayres", containing GS mounted ebony cleaning rod with ivory finial, pewter lined ebony oil bottle with ivory dipper finial, and replacement screwdriver. GC (lining faded, some small repairs to veneer). This set is illustrated on the cover of "El Revolver Lefaucheux su uso en la Argentina", Vol 2, by Adolfo Martinez, pub Buenos Ayres 2000. Plate 9
A 10 bore Volunteer Brown Bess flintlock musket, 55" overall, barrel 39" with Tower private proofs, rounded lock with swan neck cock, engraved with crowned "GR" and maker`s name (illegible), walnut fullstock with mostly regulation brass mounts, but with large flat sideplate and oval escutcheon, the trigger guard finial of early type. GWO & basically GC (lock and barrel pitted and worn overall with dark patina, no ramrod or sling swivels, tumbler screw replaced). A basically untouched piece. Plate 12
W.A.S. BENSON. PAIR OF BRASS AND COPPER WALL CALDELABRA, CIRCA 1900. each with curved wall bracket, suspending a square and round section column with sphere spacer and moulded finial and issuing three curved branches with broad drip trays and three prongs for candles (2). 56cm high.
