Thomas Stewart, Auchterarder: a Georgian oak longcase clock, the arched painted roman dial decorated with rose designs, subsidiary seconds and date dials, two train movement with anchor escapement, the case with swan neck pediment, shaped waist door, panel base on plinth (with single weight and pendulum), 84in. high to top of brass finial.
A handsome mahogany longcase clock, c.1900, with silvered roman chapter ring and subsidiary seconds dial, chime/silent and Whittington chimes/Westminster chimes dials to arch, three train quarter striking movement with deadbeat escapement striking on one coiled gong and eight tubular bells, fretwork sound board to rear, three graduated brass cased weights, the case with swan neck pediment with brass finial, arched glazed door below flanked by two pairs of fluted columns with brass detail, arched waist door flanked by fluted quadrants, panelled base with bracket feet, 97in. high.
A restored Cook's patent muzzle loading coil spring action air cane, with horn finial and recent black enamel finish, numbered 369 beside the valve striker pin guide, the brass ferule unscrewing to reveal the ramrod and rifled barrel, 36 1/2in. long overall; together with a pump, associated cocking key and bullet mould, contained in an adapted mahogany baize lined case.
A muzzle loading air cane, by G.E. Lewis, Birmingham, with screw-out barrel and ramrod attached to a brass finial, black re-enamelled barrel and reservoir, the face plate stamped with maker's name, complete with horn handle and walnut skeleton stock, 36 1/2in. long overall; contained in a reproduction softwood case.
A flask butt reservoir single shot tap loading .468 cal. un-named air gun, with 29 1/2in. smooth and octagonal two-stage barrel with outside hammer and spring, unusual round access plate to the sides of the action, short replaced fore-end with horn finial, the stock-shaped reservoir covered in later black leather, 48 1/2in. long overall.
A Finely Carved late 16th/Early 17th Century Polychromed & Gilded Newel Post Finial in the form of a lion sejant-erect bearing a heraldic shield. The lion depicted with a magnificent mane of tumbling ringlets, his eyes raised and mouth agape poking out his tongue, sat on his haunches above a pedestal of intricate scrolling foliage and acorns. The shield emblazoned with a lion rampant, 23 ins (58 cms) in height.
A Large 18th Century Dutch Brass Lantern with repoussé decoration. The domed top embossed with flowers, fruit and seed pods and pierced with perforations, surmounted by a ball finial and suspension ring, The glazed sides with sheet brass bars enclosing a central candle socket to the interior, on a punch-worked base with three small bun feet, 29 ins (74 cms) in height.

A 1921 Welsh Rugby Union 'TRIAL' cap awarded to Tommy Johnson (see provenance for Lot 1 & 2), in velvet with gold braiding and finial, the date to the peak and with the WFU (as it was then) crest to the front First gaining representative honours with Welsh Schools in 1907. Johnson won his first full international cap for Wales in 1921 against England. As a wing or full back he played 12 matches in total for the principality, infamously appearing in the first ever defeat against the New Zealand All Blacks at Swansea in 1924. 'Codger' played the majority of his club football with Cardiff making 187 appearances and captaining the side in the 1924-5 season. It is also recorded that he played for Penarth and Newport.
