A 19th century antique double barrelled percussion sporting shotgun. Walnut stock, with chequered grips, pineapple finial to trigger plate, and inset silver escutcheon (rubbed) with faint monogram present. The hammers engraved with foliates, and similar to trigger plate. Ramrod present. No makers marks. Mechanism in working order. Converted from flintlock in antiquity. Measures approx; 188cm long.
An antique 19th century long barrelled flintlock pistol. Iron furniture, with lock plate and hammer finely engraved, and a pineapple finial to trigger plate. Fitted steel ramrod present, and mechanism in full working order. Chequered grips. No makers marks present, with a previous owner's name stamped (in antiquity) to the stock. Measures approx; 39cm long.

An 18 bore flintlock livery pistol by Griffin & Tow, circa 1772-82 with tapering barrel inscribed 'London' within a linear frame extending to a loop over the breech, struck with the barrelsmith's mark and proof marks, with figured walnut butt, trigger-guard with finial of shaped outline, silver mounts finely cast and chased in low relief, comprising an elaborate trophy-of-arms side-plate, vacant escutcheon, and pommel, 17.8cm (7 in) barrel Joseph Griffin and Benjamin Tow were in partnership 1772-82.
A Regency brass and mahogany double fusee bracket clock by F. Lawley of Bath, the eight day double fusee movement striking the hour on a bell, the signed and painted circular 8in. dial with Roman numerals, the rectangular case with shallow gadrooned top with brass finial, over a brass inlaid front and sides with foliate rosette ring handles and pierced brass scale fretwork grilles, raised on decorative gilt brass ball feet, 19½in. (49.5cm.) high.* Condition: Very original condition - case is quite dirty but has a lovely colour. All brass inlays are complete. They are securely fixed overall - just two of the string inlays are lifting a little at the ends. Two chips to edge of gadrooned top to front and small chip to the back corners. Locks to dial glass and rear door working - key is rusty but original. Movement definitely original to case. A few old (inactive ) worm holes to top of back. Shrinkage crack down centre of right lower side of case, below the grille. Side moulding missing from the top right of case. Winds and runs but will almost certainly require cleaning and some work as it has not been serviced for decades. Winding key 20th century.
Two Doulton Lambeth stoneware flasks, one with silver mounted cork stopper, the larger 8½in. (21.5cm.) high; together with four other pieces of Doulton Lambeth including a jardiniere decorated by L. Waters, a twin handle vase decorated by Nellie Garbett etc. (8)* Condition: - Silver stoppered flask: Impressed '2074', script initials 'PB'. London hallmark 1903. Maker's mark rubbed. Engraved monogram to top of stopper (worn). Flask in VG cdn.- Square flask: Impressed 1785 and with retailer 'G.W. Scott & Sons' + registration diamond. Script decorator's mark IB. VG cdn. Lacks cork stopper.- Pair ewers: Silicone mark, impressed W1885, unidentified monogram script mark and painted SS mark. VG cdn.- Twin handle vase: Impressed 831, script decorator's mark EG. Glaze chip to centre of one raised rosette to body. No other faults.- Jardiniere: Impressed 2953. Script mark LW. Has been broken and repaired.- Biscuit box: Hallmarked London 1920. Marks to finial rubbed but match. Impressed 5603 and script mark LP. Cover restored. A few small dings to silver.- Tankard: Script mark RBR 10. Small ground chip to rim.
A Meissen twin handled soup tureen and cover, late 19th century, blue crossed sword mark, of bun form with moulded Osier borders, painted in colours with spring flowers, the twin green branch handles with floral bocage to the terminals, the domed cover with cut lemon and peel finial, 8½in. (21.5cm.) high; together with a pair of Meissen porcelain soup bowls, 19th century, decorated with Deutsche Blumen, gilt line rims, grey-blue crossed sword marks, 8¾in. (22.2cm.) diameter; and a pair of Meissen side plates, early 20th century, Marcolini style marks, similarly decorated, 7¾in. (19.8cm.) diameter. (5)* Condition: - Tureen: Tiny factory chip to top of finial (beneath the glaze). Minor losses from petals on floral bocage. Very good overall.- Bowls: Some gilt wear to rim, a little minor wear to decoration. No chips or cracks.- Plates: VG with just very minor gilt wear.
An 18th or 19th century Middle Eastern Persian copper and brass Dallah coffee pot, with flared cylindrical body, tapered spout, doomed cover with spire finial and toothed thumb piece, 12in. (30.5cm.) high, together with a Tibetan copper and mixed metal prayer wheel and a small copper and white metal urn shape container. (3)
A Japanese carved ivory pot and cover, Meiji period (1868-1912), the circular box heavily carved throughout with dragons amidst stylised clouds, the cover with ball finial, signed with single red character mark to base, interior and cover, 3 1/8in. (8cm.) high.* Condition: Good condition, with no damage to ivory. Cover does not seat properly on one side, although it does appear to be original.
An Indian carved ivory figure of an elephant howdah, late 19th century, the caparisoned elephant with two nobles and rider, finely carved with foliate decoration, 4 3/8in. (10.75cm.) high.* Condition: Originally on a base - locating holes to three feet. Roof lacks one finial and the other damaged. Several old hairline cracks to sides of elephant and another to front of elephant's head. No other damage or faults.
A Barr, Flight & Barr Worcester porcelain part tea service, 1803-1817, with impressed crowned B.F.B. mark, richly painted and gilded in Imari colours, comprising a teapot and stand (finial replaced), a twin handled sucrier, two cream jugs, a slop bowl, two cake plates with F.B.B. mark, nine cups, four coffee cans and eight saucers, some pieces a/f. (29)* Condition: - Teapot: Finial has been replaced with a creamware replacement. Large crack around most of circumference of body.- Stand: Very good.- Sucrier: Very good. Some kiln dust to interior glaze.- Cream jugs: Very good. Some kiln dust to interior glaze on one.- Cups: FBB marks. One extensively cracked with stapled repair. Others very good.- Cans: FBB marks. One good. The other three with extensive cracks and stapled repair to one.- Saucers: FBB marks. All good - a few with minor wear to decoration to well edge.
A scarce dry bodied stoneware teapot by Samuel Hollins, c.1800, the tapered cylindrical body in buff stoneware, with four lobed rim and c-scroll handle, oxidised silver silvered spout, finial and decoration, the body sprigged with cherubs, classical maidens and flowers, above basal fluting, impressed 'S.HOLLINS' to base, 4¾in. (12cm.) high, chip to cover, finial restored.* Condition: Finial has been off - old repair with brass nut and lead. Chip to rim of cover. A few tiny frits to tip of spout. No other damage/repairs.
A William IV walnut pole screen, the gilt brass pole with foliate urn finial, on a turned barleytwist column and gadrooned mount to tripod cabriole legs with bead bosses and pad feet, the moulded walnut screen with foliate carved angles, enclosing the original silkwork picture of a beauty in a garden, 53¼in. Three 19th century Chinese Canton carved ivory bodkin cases, one carved with a dragon, birds and butterflies amidst cloud scrolls, the cover with bud finial and on a turned reel base with rosette terminal, 6½in. (16.5cm.) long; the other two cases similarly carved, 5 7/8in. to 6in. (14.9cm. to 15.2cm.) long, each containing various ivory bodkins. (3)* Condition: The first case with tiny chip to top of threaded section on main body. Otherwise good. The other two lack the finial. One also has a hairline crack to the cover and the cover also does not seat properly on the threads.
A George III silver coffee pot, Thomas Parr II, London, 1741, plain body of baluster form, engraved to both sides, one with contemporary baroque coat of arms believed to be of 'General Thomas Moore' of family descent, the other with an armorial engraved with three leopard heads, with foliate and acanthus capped spout, carved ebony handle and hinged domed cover with knop finial, 8½in. (21.7cm.) high, gross weight 25.3 tr.oz.* Condition: Hallmarks have some rubbing but are legible. Maker's mark clear to base. Very light line indent to body through one armorial and one or two other very minor dings. Inner flange of lid has 0.75in. piece missing. Possible soldered repair to joint of hinge and lid.
An Indian carved ivory figure of an elephant howdah party, late 19th century, the caparisoned elephant with two nobles, rider and four attendants on foot on the corners of the rectangular base, with pierced frieze and four turned feet, 5 3/8in. (13.7cm.) high.* Condition: One attendant lacks the spear, another lacks the tip of the spear, another spear is a replacement and the last has a detached spear with the lower part missing. Small chip to corner of roof over rider. Lacks finial from double-dome roof and the other finial is chipped. No other damage or faults.
A Colombian Bogota Sterling silver teapot, globular form with planished finish, geometric chased and repoussé figural decoration, chased scale decoration to spout, figural finial, marked 'STERLING D925' with Bogota trademark, 6¼in. (15.8cm.) high, weight 13.25 tr.oz.* Condition: Line dent to lower left body. No other faults.
A large Anglo-Indian silver metal mounted engraved ivory writing and work box, Vizagapatam, early 19th century, decorated with engraved borders depicting seated figures in gardens, birds and figures rowing a boat, with similar huntsmen to the angles, bordered by bands of foliage and feathers and the upper tier of the lid with ribbon tied swags, the rectangular stepped and gadrooned hinged upper lid enclosing a fitted sandalwood interior, the underside of the lid with a hidden compartment with inset engraved ivory oval depicting ships off an island coast, the main lid with waisted sides and hinged to reveal a fitted interior with lidded compartments and pin cushions, a mirror inside lid, above a long drawer revealing a hinged writing slope, the sides with swing handles on silver metal oval mask medallions, raised on silver metal winged paw feet, 13¼ x 10¾in. (33.75 x 26.5cm.), 11½in. (29.25cm.) high.* Condition: Small chip to corner of finial and finial has some old glue residue around the joint with lid. Crack across one side of gadrooned top to upper lid and a few old ivory pinned repairs to the gadrooning. Two small replaced sections to corners of the foliate edge banding to upper lid. Small soldered repair to one hinge on upper lid. Small replaced piece of engraved ivory to front left corner of main lid, small bruise to front edge, and old repaired split and wear to engraved decoration to centre back edge of main lid. Main lid is detached along back edge, leaving the back edge section attached to the base and hinges. Two screws fixing ivory strip along sides of mirror are replacements. Interior complete. Lock to main lid lacks key. Key is present for slope drawer and lock is working. Small chip, crack and tiny glued repair to gadrooned side to back right of base. Two pieces of ivory veneer have glued repair to front right corner of base. Filled pinned repairs to both angled sections of ivory veneer to lower sides. Old hairline cracks to ivory throughout, commensurate with age.
A Chinese export porcelain sparrow beak cream jug, late 18th century, painted in blue and white pagodas around a lake shore, with bead moulded scroll handle with ruyi thumbpiece, 4½in. (11.4cm.) high, with handwritten label to base, 'From Dorothy Nov. 1920'; together with a similarly decorated Chinese blue and white export teapot with fluted body and Fitzhugh border, 7in. (17.75cm.) high, chip to lid; a globular Chinese teapot painted with blue and white flowers, lead repair to handle; and a blue and white bowl with lake landscape decoration. (4)* Condition: - Cream jug: Yellowed discolouration to glaze on spout tip with remains of gilt paint. No other faults.- Teapot: Large chip to edge of cover and finial has been off and glued back. Firing cracks to top of spout and handle. No other faults.- Small teapot: Handle has been repaired/replaced with lead. There is a large crack from the bottom of the handle around the body. Glaze frits to tip of spout.- Bowl: Hairline down whole side of bowl.
A DUELLING PISTOL BY PROSSER. A .36 bore Duelling Pistol by Prosser of Charing Cross. London, with Flintlock action. 13.1/2" overall length, having an 8" octagonal browntwist (rebrowned) barrel. Gold touch-hole and barrel line and gold name poincon Prosser inset in the breech top. Having a flat stepped lock with sliding safety lock, with a roller frizzen. Fullstock in walnut with a chequered saw handle, steel engraved oval flat buttplate. Ornate engraving to the latter and trigger guard and pineapple finial, etc. A single set trigger with horn tipped ramrod present, with its worm-drive. See Illustration
