A large gilt metal mounted oak mantel clock, the brass and steel dial inscribed 'W Roberts Coventry', height 70cm.Condition: Overall condition very good. Few old minor scuffs to oak case on edges, very minor loss to gilding on metal work in some places. Bird on finial appears as though it should have something in its mouth. Is currently working when wound, however, sold with no gaurantee, chimes ok every quarter, comes with key, pendulum and matched door key present (original key missing).

AN IRISH FOUR PIECE SILVER TEA SERVICE, Dublin 1977, mark of Alwright & Marshall, comprising teapot, cream jug, sugar bowl and sauce boat (1978), the teapot of squashed pear form, the domed hinged lid with naturalistic swan finial above a wavy collar, the body chased and embossed to one side with a swan amongst reeds, to the other side with a fox and contained within bands of fruiting vines and foliage, raised on three lion mask capped paw feet, and applied with ebon handle, (c.1524g all in). A SILVER PLATED FOUR PIECE TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE, comprising teapot, coffee pot, cream jug and sugar bowl, each piece of panelled baluster form with reeded 'c' scroll handles, the entire chased and embossed with flower heads and scrolling decoration, and raised on stepped circular foot, the pots each with naturalistic foliate finial, the teapot bearing inscription. Coffee pot 24cm high, teapot 25cm wide over handle and spout; together with a silver plated tray, of shaped oval form with large reeded and leaf wrapped twin carrying handles, the raised cast scrolling rocaille rim to an engraved central reserve decorated with a continuous band of scrolls, flower heads and feathers. 67cm wide.
