2002 MG F Transmission: manualMileage:87000The MG F was the first new model designed as an MG since the MGB that was produced from 1962 to 1980. It was initially designed by the Rover Group during the period it was owned by British Aerospace and was brought to market after the business had been sold to the German car manufacturer BMW. It was powered by a 1.8 Litre K-Series 16-valve engine, the basic having 118 bhp while the more powerful VVC (variable valve control) had 143 bhp. Steve Harper of MGA Developments produced the initial design concept in January 1991 having been inspired by the Jaguar XJR-15 and the Ferrari 250LM, before Rover's in house design team refined the concept under the leadership of Gerry McGovern. An interesting feature of the F was its Hydragas suspension, a system employing interconnected fluid and gas displacers which provided a surprisingly compliant ride, but which could be tuned to provide excellent handling characteristics.Originally registered on 27th November 2002, this MG F is presented in Oxford Blue with a black interior and has a white hardtop. The knowledgeable vendor has recently fitted a new head gasket to the car and describes the car as driving with no known faults. It has electric windows and is powered by the potent 1.8 litre engine mated to a five-speed gearbox, providing lively performance on the open roads. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate, this MG F is offered without reserve and is an ideal way to experience open top motoring.

1995 Chevrolet Suburban LT 2500 Transmission: automaticMileage:33250The Chevrolet Suburban is a full-size SUV from Chevrolet and the name started in 1934 for the 1935 U.S. model year, making it the longest continuously used automobile nameplate in production. It has traditionally been one of General Motors' most profitable vehicles. The 1935 first generation Carryall Suburban was one of the first production all-metal bodied station wagons. It now comes with three engine options: a 5.3 litre V8, 6.2 litre V8 or a 3.0 litre Inline-6 turbo diesel. The GMT400-based Suburban's were introduced in December 1991 for the 1992 model year. The similar pick-up truck models had switched to the newer platforms in the 1988 model year. Both two wheel and four wheel drive models, designated 'C' and 'K', were offered, as well as half ton and three quarter ton ('1500' and '2500') models. Trim options included a base-level version, the LS, and the LT. Interior seating arrangements allowed for either bucket or bench seating in the first row and optional third row bench. The vehicle could be configured from two to nine passenger seating. Transmissions included the 4L60 four-speed automatic in the 1500 series, and the heavier duty 4L80 four-speed automatic in the 2500.This superb American SUV vehicle was delivered new to its first owner the late Emir of Qatar, His High Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Hamad Al-Thani. It is presented in two-tone black/gold with beige leather interior. The interior is in superb condition as is the exterior paintwork and has the added benefit of the third row set of seats allowing for nine people to be transported in extreme comfort with plenty of legroom. It is powered by the mighty 5.7 litre V8 mated to an automatic transmission and comes with air conditioning. This vehicle is thought to have been used by the staff of the late Emir, probably his security detail and has only covered a mere 32,500km from new before our vendor purchased this from Historics in May 2021. Since his purchase the engine and gearbox have been fully serviced, a new air conditioning unit has been fitted as have five new tyres. An extremely practical family SUV with substantial interior space for people and luggage, together with its very interesting history, this must be one of the finest available of this marque.

*JOHN MYATT (B. 1945) 'Morning on the Seine II' river scene after Claude Monet and bearing Monet's signature and dated (18)96 lower left, signed and numbered 29/150 by Myatt verso, embellished giclee print on canvas, 77cm x 74cm Provenance: Westover Gallery, Bournemouth.Former secondary school teacher, John Myatt, along with John Drewe, perpetrated what has been described as "the biggest art fraud of the 20th century". In 1986, John Myatt placed a classified advert in the satirical British current affairs magazine Private Eye. ‘19th and 20th-century fakes for £200’ stated the ad, heralding the birth of what was initially a legitimate business. Producing paintings to order, John painted his way through 20th century art history, commissioned by a man known as ‘Professor John Drewe’. His materials were unorthodox, including household emulsion mixed with K-Y Jelly, yet the quality of his work led Christie’s to value one of his paintings at £25,000. This was the moment that the business stopped and the crime began.Between 1986 and 1994, Myatt faked as many as 200 works by artists like Marc Chagall and Alberto Giacometti, fooling collectors and experts at Christie's, Sotheby's and the Tate Modern alike. Many of these counterfeit works found their way into private collections and public institutions in the United Kingdom and abroad. Eventually the scheme was exposed by Scotland Yard, and Myatt was sentenced to a year in HM Prison Brixton for his role in this now-legendary art fraud.Upon his release from prison, Myatt was persuaded to pick up his brush again by the detective who arrested him. In recent years, he has emulated the style of legendary artists like Henri Matisse, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Paul Klee, Leonardo da Vinci and Vincent van Gogh. Comparing himself to an actor immersing himself in a role, he says he climbs into the mind of his chosen artist to adopt, rather than copy, their technique. In a 2005 interview with the Guardian newspaper, Myatt explained: “I try to get the artist’s work to hypnotise me. I also surround myself with lots of books. I like to know everything…where he was, what he was doing…when he was painting.”Private Collection, Dorset
