Early 20th century Kämmer & Reinhardt/ Simon & Halbig (Germany) bisque head doll, impressed 'K&R' with star symbol 'Simon & Halbig/ 118A/ 42', with sleeping blue eyes, open mouth with two teeth, dimples, blonde wig and composition bent limb body. Height 44cm. Two fingers missing. Head appears overall VG with no visible cracks (wig attached), one tooth possibly re-attached and eyelids appear re-painted. Eyes open and close easily.
Royal and Coaching Interest - A Robinson, Cook & Holdway sketchbook, formerly the property of Maxwell Monson Limited, Coach Builders, containing the hand-drawn Heraldic Crests of their clientele, including many Royal and Aristocratic Families of Europe, tooled to front "Robinson Cook & Holdway sketchbook" and with paper label inscribed "not to be taken away the property of Maxwell Monson Limited", and a printed Geneological Table of the "Noble family of Monson, Baron Monson & C" from John Monson (lived in the Reign of K Richard the second - circa 1766) , together with a hand-written order book for "Her Most Gracious Majesty The Queen (Victoria) and his Most Gracious Majesty the King (Edward VII and George V) covering the years 1838-1912, tooled and gilded red leather bound, the front with tooled Royal crest and "Her Majesty" and bearing paper label "Not to be taken away the property of Maxwell Monson Limited" CONDITION REPORTS The red bound book - Some loose pages, pages yellowed, some foxing, ink fading in places, red leather is tatty in placed. The brown bound book - bindings are loose and broken, paper is yellowed, there is some foxing in places. Both items have general wear and tear throughout.

A 1920s autograph book containing many well-known stars and gangsters of the Prohibition era in the 1920s, to include Arnold Rothstein (January 17th 1882-1928) who was a well-known character and lived for some time in the Plaza hotel, New York, he was a racketeer, businessman and gambler who became head of the Jewish mob in New York, reputedly Rothstein was the person who first realised that Prohibition was a business opportunity which led to enormous wealth. His notoriety inspired several fictional characters based on his life, portrayed in contemporary and later short stories, novels, musicals and films. Other signatures include Robert Woolsey, a comedian and actor, Adolphe Manjou who starred in Charles Chaplin's film 'A Woman of Paris', many Stanley Kubrick films and appeared with Marlene Dietrich and Rudolph Valentino, Eddie Foy, American comedian, Elisabeth Welch, a singer, actress and entertainer, Philip K.
