An interesting 1920s J K Farnell Teddy Bear in well made suit, with golden mohair, clear and black glass eyes with a grey back, pronounced clipped muzzle, black stitched nose, webbed hand claws and feet flaws, swivel head, jointed limbs with felt pads, card-lined feet, hump, inoperative growler, well made and fitting three piece suit with brass buttons —19in. (48cm.) high (bald spot on back of head going into holes, generally good underclothes, ears incorrectly set, mouth restitched, eyes possibly not right and some damage to pads) - the clothes on this bear are very well fitted and have the correct sort of manufacture for toy clothing, his wear also suggests he may have always had these clothes, although there are not records of dressed Farnell bears from this period, it’s possible he has been special dressed for a display or shop window - this bear is known as Ivor
