Stoker Edward Rudolph Bullock was from Bridgewater, Somerset, he drowned in the English Channel on 4 April 1918 when serving in HMS Bittern, the ship collided with SS Kenilworth, Bullock is commemorated on the Plymouth Memorial. Musician George James Bullock served with the Royal Marine Band, he was discharged "invalided" in 1920. Lieutenant Reginald Bullock, the medal index card lists his service number as 5-6349. Bullock was wounded several times, 25 July 1916 (shell shock), 2 August 1916, 24 August 1916 (gas shell), 14 September 1918. Sapper Frederick Bullock served on the Western Front with a Sapper and later a Private in the Warwickshire Yeomanry (3373).

The round brilliant cut stones are slightly graduated in size. Colour and clarity is difficult to grade but they are well matched facing up white and it is an impressive piece of jewellery. It has French import marks to the clasp.
