Estimated total diamond weight 4.40cts, I-K colour, SI1-P1 clarity. Inner diameter 5.4cms. Weight 15.4gms. Overall condition good. There are scratches to the bangle in keeping with overall wear. Dimensions of principal diamonds 5.8 by 5.2 by 3.75 (0.73),5.4 by 5.1 by 4.05 (0.72), 5.1 by 5 by 2.9 (0.48), 4.65 by 4.1 by 3.6 (0.44), 4.8 by 4.5 by 3.45 (0.48), 4.3 by 4.1 by 3.1 (0.35)4.2 by 4.1 by 2.9 (0.32). Estimated diamond weight of outer four diamonds 0.26, 0.26, 0.18, 0.18ct. The diamonds are bright, they do appear to be drawing some colour. There are significant inclusions to a couple of diamonds visible with the unaided eye, the others with smaller inclusions. The clasp is secure.

K. Kanko A.P.C.) and a Special Constabulary medal stamped Allan Ormiston. Ormiston was involved with reconnaissance and there are maps and photographs including many aerial views c1944 and 1945 (many of Italy), various guides, a quantity of related paperwork etc included with this lot.

Gore, qualche piccola macchia e lievi arrossature, lavori di tarlo al margine inferiore dei fascicoli K-L. Legatura in pergamena con titoli manoscritti al dorso e al taglio di testa. Postille marginali in inchiostro. Traduzione italiana condotta da Annibale Briganti di questi due scritti di Garcia da Orta e di Nicolas Monardes, apparsi rispettivamente in lingua originale portoghese e spagnola nel 1563 e nel 1565. I due trattati di farmacologia riguardano entrambi le proprietà medicamentose di erbe e piante esotiche provenienti dall`India e dalle Americhe e, nella versione italiana del medico teatino, sono incluse le dotte annotazioni che nel 1572 scrisse il botanico Charles de l`Escluse (Carolus Clusius). Interessante, nell`opera di Monardes, la prima descrizione iconografica del tabacco e del suo utilizzo cerimoniale. Wellcome I, 4663.
