LOT NOTES SHKURUPIY, Geo [Georgiy Danilovich] (Ukrainian 1903-1937) was a prominent Ukrainian panfuturist poet and writer. In 1930 he became the head of a Kiev branch of the New Generation artist`s union and the editor-in-chief of it`s publication Avangard , of which only two issues were published. This important cultural magazine features the first printed script for Zemlya by O. Dovzhenko , as well as: O. Vlyzko`s reportage Poyizdy yidut` na Berlin ; poems by I. Malovichko, P. Mel`nyk, Yu. Paliychuk; essays by K. Malevich , M. Umakov, and G. Shkurupiy himself.

Sight notch on barrel stopper. Grooved, six-shot cylinder. Smooth frame, trigger with trigger guard and finger support; grip with smooth, wooden grip scales and loop. Serial number "2xxx". An artillery short sword dating: third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Baden Strong, curved, single-edged blade (light stains), slightly narrowed toward the base and widened at the tang, dated "1859" on a side and marked "S & K" on the other, the back ribbed at the centre. Brass quillon and grip in one piece, flat quillon with slightly counter-curved arms, grip thickened at the centre and grooved, pommel with button. dimensions: length 63,5 cm.
An Elizabeth II Royal Naval dress sword, the 79cm single edged fullered bade etched with a crowned cypher and fouled anchor, the brass hilt with folding guard, bound fishskin grip and lions head pommel, in a brass mounted leather scabbard, 95cm overall. Condition Report / Extra Information Not a Wilkinson blade. Stamped K to the back edge. ERII cipher to blade.
