An early 20th century diamond set white metal bar brooch, the brooch with sixteen graduated diamonds, the largest approx 0.5ct, within a milgrain border, length approx 5.5cm, approx 4.58g, unmarked. CONDITION REPORT: The diamonds are approx 5mm to 2.1mm diameter. The brooch is c.1910. It is unmarked but previously tested as 950 grade platinum. The principal diamond approx 0.5 metric carats. Assessed colour L-M, assessed clarity I1. Total diamond weight approx 2.23 metric carats. Assessed as colours J/K/L and clarity SI1-I2. Overall condition is good, although some diamonds are chipped.

CONDITION REPORT: The gold is not marked, but the colour suggests it is a high carat, possibly 18ct. There is some enamel loss to each section. Otherwise a tidy ring.

TUDOR; a 9ct gold wristwatch, the square dial set with baton numerals, with manual wind seventeen ruby Swiss movement, on an articulated textured bracelet strap, the inside cover stamped 'N K Co Made for Rolex 9 375'. CONDITION REPORT: Approx 30.9g. There are three sets of hand inscribed numbers, presumably for repair or service records. The dial has wear to the sides and chips to the matte gold face, but these are covered by the case. There is some wear to the baton numerals. It does not tick when wound. Usual scratches and signs of wear and tear to the outer case.

Weight 8.8gProvenance - Private Family Collection - The property belonging to  Frederick and Lucy Cazalet who fled the Russian Revolution in 1917 with a single trunk of items. This item was one of the few items in that trunk that they took with them. Frederick and Lucy Cazalet were the descendants of the Hopper family who founded the Shipock Ironworks in Moscow and the Muir / Mirrielees families that created the great department store in their name. Both the Hopper family and the Muir / Mirrielees were of Scottish origin and were prominent families in Russian business circles.Frederick Cazalet (1871-1945) married Lucy Hopper (1870-1956) in the Anglican Church in Moscow in 1901. Both were born in Moscow. Lucy was an authority on Russian pewter and porcelain.Fredrick and Lucy Cazalet managed the great Muir and Mirrielees department store in Moscow until they fled the Russian Revolution in 1917. The department store was nationalised after the Revolution and became TsUM.
