Die Hout- en Linosneë van J. H. Pierneef. (Cape Town: A .A. Balkema, 1974), 16.Famous for his linocut views depicting Cape Dutch architecture, South African artist Pierneef kept the majority of his blocks and pulled impressions on demand. This helps to explain the sometimes differing dates inscribed by the artist on different impressions of the same work.

Comprising: 1887 Jubilee Medal, clasp 1897 (PC C DIVn), 1902 Coronation Medal (PC K DIV). Medals loose ... Accompanied by a Metropolitan Police 1911 Coronation Medal awarded to PC W. LEADER. 68722 PC William Savage enlisted into the Met Police 29th October 1883 and retired in 1903. His medal entitlement is complete. PC Walter Leader enlisted in February 1911 and retired in 1935. He served with R ((Greenwich) and X (Kilburn)Divisions.
1st Bn Welsh Regiment display side drum. A most attractive, professionally refurbished rope tension example. The brass body richly emblazoned with the regimental device and Battle Honours either side. Red, white and green decorated wooden hoops, white rope tension, skins top and bottom. The brass body stamped with the maker details of Premier 1941. Near VGC colours bright. Signed K. Nicolls 07

The Idler (Two Volumes) An Illustrated Monthly Magazine edited by Jerome K Jerome and Robert Barr published by Chatto and Windus in 1892 and 1893. The Idler was an illustrated monthly magazine that ran from 1892 to 1911 and its contributors included many leading writers and illustrators of the time (Mark Twain, Rudyard Kipling etc). Volume One is a collection of The Idler Magazine published between February and July 1892 and Volume Two is a collection of The Idler Magazine published between August 1892 and January 1893. Both volumes are attractively bound hardbacks in matching dark green cloth hardback with gilt lettering and illustration to the front cover and spine, both volumes approx 15cm x 22cm and show light signs of age / wear, volume one has a small piece of cover missing from the top of the spine (see photographs), otherwise both in good condition nice books, retail for the pair region of £140.
