IN WEIPERT', 'K. v. K. HOI v. KAMMERLIEFERANT and with the patent details engraved 'KRONEN GEWEHR, PATENT G. FUKERT. aNNA GRETA EKER - a 1960's silver torque form ring, maker Plus, stamped N, AGE, +, STERLING, NORWAY, designed as a broad band with shaped triangular terminals; a silver ring by Peter Guy Watson, with marks for London 1971, maker's mark PGW, collet set with a high domed circular cut amethyst cabochon flanked by trifurcated shoulders; together with a Kim Naver shaped-square silver ring, maker Georg Jensen (post 1945 mark), also stamped 925, S, DENMARK and numbered 186 (3) finger sizes: K (UK), 5.5 (USA) - slightly adjustable; M (UK), 6.l5 (USA) and H (UK), 4 (USA) anna Greta Eker married Erling Christoffersen, leader of the silver workshop at the applied arts centre PLUS in Norway. Founded in 1958 this centre was intended as an arena for designers to create good models for industry. Eker's designs are often sculptural and occasionally mobile.
aSTRID FOG - a late 1960's silver pendant and matching ring, the pendant with import marks for London 1970, maker Georg Jensen (post 1945 mark), also stamped 925, S, DENMARK and numbered 379, the ring similarly marked for 1969, numbered 143, the pendant of open square design, composed of four hollow rounded-rectangular panels, suspended from an oval belcher link chain; the ring composed of a plain band suspending a rounded-square hollow panel, joined by belcher links (2) lengths: pendant 5.5cm; chain 73cm, finger size of ring K (UK);5.5 (USA)
dUNDEE - a Scottish provincial curly horn snuff mull, by J MacKenzie, marked JMK (M and K conjoined) struck twice, the domed hinged lid with citrine to centre, reeded borders and thumb-piece length 8.5cm this is a rare item of holloware by a scarce Dundee maker. The firm of MacKenzie Brothers, founded ??, continued for some time although it is unclear how long they worked independantly, or when exactly this item was made. Only a few other pieces of holloware and flatware are confirmed by this maker and most are marked like this piece with maker's mark only. recently a nutmeg grater by this maker with identical marks was sold at auction for £4,000.
