1976: `Gusty` Spence Long Kesh Irish language book 7 by 5 in.An Sloinnteoir Gaeilge agus an tAinmneoir by Muiris Ó Droighneáin, 80pp, 2nd edition. With notation on title page "A.A. Spence L/K 1976" Book with translations of names and surnames from Irish to English and English to Irish. An interesting insight into the literature that Gusty had whilst in Long Kesh. Spence and some other Loyalist prisoners attended Irish language courses, including some taught by Frank McArt, (Proinnsias MacAirt) well known IRA man, and were proud of their Fáinne Nua badges. Naturally Spence was particularly interested in the Ulster dialect.

Document GroupsDocument group of the Motor-HJ Kameradschaftsführer and tank gunner Fritz Roth of the 3./Pz.A. 160.1.) 3 photos in tank uniform; 2.) Motor-HJ exam badge, booklet with HJ-uniform photo; 3.) 3 documents for the Wehrmachts-training of the HJ; 4.) performance card for getting the K.-Schein of the HJ; 5.) promotion document to Kameradschaftsführer; 6.) drivers license (with tank uniform photo, only for fully-tracked vehicles up to 15to.); 7.) wounded badge, 1939, in black (document, folded, issued Schieratz, the 12. März 1943 for his wound recieved on 10.1.1943, sealed, OU Oberstabsarzt u. Chefarzt); 8.) license of heavy war invalids.Interesting estade which clearly shows how the youth was trained to become soldiers. Rare Motor-HJ documents and also the drivers license of some curiosity, as Roth was allowed to drive fully tracked vehicles, though no regular car. After he entered the army he came to the newly set up Panzer-Abteilung 160 and was present with it at the battles around Charkow. After that the unit was transfered to Stalingrad, where Roth got wounded on 10.1.1943 and because of that got flown out of the besieged city. This most likly saved his life, as the unit was totally wiped out still in January. After he left the hospital he most likly left the army, as he held a license for heavy war invalids.Condition: II
