A large leather bound volume containing a selection of black and white photographs of "Kiln Quay" - the house, garden, interior rooms and views from the garden, each page mounted with a single image, the cover with gold lettering "Kiln Quay" together with a similar volume of photographs of "The Wincel" (Tompsets Bank, East Sussex)c.1929 , a smaller album of The Wincel images and another of "Farley Court" (Farley Hill, Reading) c.1933 (4). NB: In 1919 Joan Beach fell in love with a Cornish sea captain. She could not bear to leave her beautiful, 400 year old house in Sussex, so moved it to Cornwall where it was reconstructed in Flushing. The photographs were taken c.1928 in Cornwall and provide an extensive record of the house and grounds at that date. K. Ashcroft, 19th/early 20th century, "The Bridge" after Sir John Alfred Arnesby Brown R.A. (1866 - 1955), signed, oil on canvas, 59 x 72cm.; 23.25 x 28.25in. * The original of this work is owned by the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool. Ashcroft was likely to be a student who would have had a copyist`s ticket to paint in the gallery as was common in the early 20th century.

A large collection of coins various comprising Charles II half crown dated 1671, another dated 1676, a William III crown dated 1696, two George III Irish half pennies dated 1769, a George V 1935 crown, together with a large quantity of other coinage, also in this lot is an interesting brass coin possibly a weight from the reign of George III dated 1772, also a quantity of paper money comprising a five pound note, cashier I L Lemon, two ten shilling notes, cashiers L K O`Brien and J S Fforde and a framed one pound note cashier K O Peppiatt and an interesting foudroyant medal made from a copper bolt from Nelsons flagship which was wrecked on Blackpool beach in 1897 together with a leaflet

R., a further group of Second World War medals awarded to W. Phelps consisting of the 39/45 War Medal, 39/45 Star and the France and Germany Star complete with printed list and posting box, an Air Force diary from 1942 which belonged to K. W. Clark service number 1602946, the diary partly filled in, including a flying log book from March to June of that year and further details, together with uniform wings, a portrait of a young woman in a frame, a Royal Army Service corps compact etc.
