Two similar Royal Worcester porcelain cabinet cups and saucers hand painted with berries and leaves within gilt borders, printed puce marks to base, signed: K. Blake. (2)(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: One of the saucers has 5 hairline cracks through it. The lower of the two cups has a chip to rim and overall wear and tear. The saucer has a minor flaw to rim with a dull sound. The cup appears OK.All pieces are crazed with surface wear.

An Art Deco ruby and diamond plaque ring, the central ruby 6.9 x 5.8 x 3mm, milligrain set in a surround of small brilliants, within a calibre cut ruby border, to diamond set shoulders, mounted in white metal (tests platinum), finger size J/K, 5.7gms CONDITION: purple tone to ruby, even colour, minimal extinction, iron stained fractures and small mineral inclusions noted with 10x loupe, culet off set, repair to collet setting on central stone, no losses to outer stones.
Rare Irish Nationalist Army Rakenny Yeomanry Shoulder Belt Plate Circa 1780-83, brass oval belt plate with crowned winged harp to the centre, scroll above with RAKENNY and lower scroll with YEOMANRY. Reverse of the plate has two bolt fittings and one of two spike fittings. Semi excavated example. Units of the Irish Nationalist Army 1780-1783 are as follows, Rakenny Independents, Rakenny True Blues, Rakenny, Rakenny True Blue Independent Vols, Rakenny Independent Volunteers. NO MENTION of a yeomanry unit, BUT as many of the Irish Yeomanry were in fact DISMOUNTED, it is quite probable that the plate refers to one of these early units. Rakenny is in Co. Cavan, the only raising for Rakenny in 1803 is a small Infantry unit, 1 Company, still going in 1825. (Information supplied by K D Pickup)
Great War Casualties 1914-15 Star Medals, awarded to “12074 PTE G WELDON D OF CORN LI”, “L-17489 DVR G FRYER R.F.A” and “18344 PTE A K WILSON K O SCO BORD”. All remain in good overall condition. (3 items) Private George Weldon was killed serving with the 1st Battalion Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry on 23rd April 1917 and is remembered on the Arras Memorial; Gunner George Fryer was killed serving with the 112th Brigade Royal Field Artillery on 1st September 1917 and is buried at Brandhoek New Military Cemetery; Private Andrew Kyle Wilson was killed serving with the 1st Battalion Kings Own Scottish Borderers on 30th July 1916 and is remembered on the Ypres Menin Gate Memorial.
Queens South Africa Medal 1899-1902 Volunteer Company Lancashire Fusiliers, with single clasp Orange Free State, awarded to “8895 PTE W BRIERLEY VOL COY LANC FUS”. Medal retains good dark patina. Private William Brierley was born in Salford, 1877. He enlisted in the 3rd Volunteer Battalion of the Lancashire Fusiliers in 1896. He served in “K” Coy 1st Volunteer Company attached to the 2nd Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers 1900-1901.
Uniform of Lieutenant Colonel G K Gregson DSO, consisting of four pocket No1 dress tunic with brass George V buttons to the front, pockets and shoulder boards. Bullion embroidered red gorget collar patches. Metal rank insignia to the shoulder boards. Interior of the tunic with London tailors label having inked name Lt Col G K Gregson. Tunic is accompanied by a pair of plain black officers dress trousers. (2 items)
Rare Pre 1938 NSDAP Kreisleitung Department Head Car Pennant, untouched example of the triangular pattern car pennant w ith gothic silver bullion wire K L and stylised Political eagle and swastika to the centre, on tan and off white cloth divided sections of the triangular pennant. Red ribbed cloth edging to the pennant. Mounted to the original triangular frame with attachments. Some wear and age staining but generally still in good condition. Comes with black leather foul weather cover. Good untouched example of a scarce car pennant.
