Molenaer“.In profiliertem Holzrahmen.Eine Stadt mit Kirchturm und einer dahinterliegenden hügeligen Düne mit Rundturm sowie links sichtbarem offenem Meer mit anlandenden Schiffen und mehreren Figurengruppen, die offensichtlich den Fischern Ware abgekauft haben. Der Maler war Bruder von Jan Miense Molenaer (1609/10-1668) und Bartholomeus Molenaer (um 1610/28-1650) und wurde 1651 Mitglied der Haarlemer Sankt Lukas-Gilde. Der Maler war bekannt für seine Winterszenen, aber auch für seine ländlichen Motive und humorigen Genreszenen. Werke seiner Hand befinden sich in der Alten Pinakothek München, im Wallraf-Richartz-Museum in Köln sowie im Von der Heydt-Museum in Wuppertal. (1352081) (1) (13))

Oktober 2012, mit entsprechenden Vergleichsbeispielen, in Kopie.Ein Grachtweiher im Vordergrund zieht mittig zwischen Häusergruppen nach hinten, zwischen den vorderen Gebäuden eine Verbindungsbrücke. Die Betrachtung aus der Kavaliersperspektive bietet einen Blick auf zahlreiche verschachtelte Gebäude, höhere Stadthäuser im mittleren Hintergrund, eng gereiht, sowie einer kleinen Kirche mit Dachreiter links, umgeben von weiteren, zum Teil im Licht stehenden Häusern. Beleuchtet wird die Szenerie durch die hinter Wolken und der Baumkrone links nachmittaglich niedergehende Sonne. Von besonderem Reiz ist der Erzählerfleiß des Malers, der durch zahlreiche Staffagefiguren, sowohl in den Booten als auch an und zwischen den Gebäuden, die Landschaftsdarstellung bereichert hat. Selbst im fernen Hintergrund sind Figuren zu entdecken, die das Leben des niederländischen 18. Jahrhunderts dokumentierten.Josef Bredael entstammte einer Malerfamilie als Sohn des Joris (1661-um 1706), und Enkel des Pieter van Bredael (1629-1719). Seine Mutter war die Tochter des Abraham van Diepenbeeck (1596-1675). Berichten zufolge ging er 1725 nach Paris, wo er für Sammler Kopien fertigte, Mitglied der Königlichen Akademie wurde und lebenslang blieb. Parkettiert.77,4, x 155,3 cm.Verso mit alten Etiketten „Le Cadre, 29, Rue des Deux Eglises, Bruxelles“, Etikett der Galerie Louis Manteau, Brüssel, sowie eine schwarze Nummerierung „3974“.In mit floralen Ranken dekoriertem Rahmen.Ein Innenraum, der sein Licht durch mehrere geöffnete Fenster empfängt, ist gefüllt mit zahlreichen Figuren und Tieren, unter denen Kinder eine besondere Stellung annehmen, ist es doch ein Ammenhaus, das der Künstler dargestellt hat. Der direkte Kontakt mit dem Kind, die Reinigung nach dem Toilettengang links oder auch umgekehrt die Nahrungszufuhr sind ebenso dargestellt wie rechts ein Mann, der einem schon größeren Kind Geld zusteckt und somit den karitativen Vorbildcharakter des moralisch konnotierten Gemäldes unterstreicht. Ein Gemälde von gleichen Proportionen und gleicher Darstellung (69,5 x 114,5 cm) war 2002 bei der Galerie de Jonckheere in Paris zu sehen und wird von Dr. Klaus Ertz in die 1570er-Jahre datiert, sodass wir auch die Entstehung des hier angebotenen Gemäldes in dieser Zeit annehmen.Studierte unter Frans Floris (um 1516-1570) und entdeckte zunächst seine Vorliebe für die Landschaftsmalerei. Durch seinen Bruder Heinrich veranlasst, widmete er sich aber alsbald fast ausschließlich der figürlichen Malerei. Seine meist vielfigurigen Genrebilder werden oft nur vordergründig als teilweise humorige Szenen verstanden, hinter denen sich jedoch nicht selten ein tieferer allegorischer oder gesellschaftskritischer Sinn verbirgt. 1551 wurde er Mitglied der Antwerpener Lukasgilde.Provenienz:Galerie Louis Manteau, Brüssel. Karsen a Amsterdam“.In bronziertem, ornamental verziertem Rahmen.Provenienz: Deutscher Privatbesitz.Anmerkung:Kasparus Karsen lernte bei seinem Onkel, dem Stadt- und Landschaftsmaler George Pieter Westenberg (1791-1873) und hernach an der Akademie, etwa bei dem Maler Hendrick Gerrit ten Kate (1803-1856). Er war auf Stadt- und Flussansichten spezialisiert, meist waren dies jedoch keine typografischen Ansichten, sondern Fantasiebilder mit Cappriccios. Er bereiste die Bretagne, den Rhein und die Donau und gelangte bis nach Wien. Neben den Städten finden sich auch Brücken und Kaie mit Segelbooten in seinen Werken wiedeAusstellung: Vermutlich ausgestellt in Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten, Tonstelling van Srilda en andere Werken van levende Kunstenas, Amsterdam. Iron mounts with crowned 'B' and 'D' marks in a circle. Iron ramrod. The screw of the butt plate marked with a dot (most probably of Pontifical use).
