2000 Chevrolet 2000 Chevrolet Suburban GMT400 Transmission: automaticMileage:73000The Chevrolet Suburban is a full-size SUV from Chevrolet and the name started in 1934 for the 1935 U.S. model year, making it the longest continuously used automobile nameplate in production. It has traditionally been one of General Motors' most profitable vehicles. The 1935 first generation Carryall Suburban was one of the first production all-metal bodied station wagons. It now comes with three engine options: a 5.3 litre V8, 6.2 litre V8 or a 3.0 litre Inline-6 turbo diesel. The GMT400-based Suburbans were introduced in December 1991 for the 1992 model year. The similar pickup truck models had switched to the newer platforms in the 1988 model year. Both 2WD and 4WD models, designated 'C' and 'K', were offered, as well as half ton and three-quarter ton ('1500' and '2500') models. Trim options included a base-level version, the LS, and the LT. Interior seating arrangements allowed for either bucket or bench seating in the first row and optional third row bench. The vehicle could be configured from two to nine passenger seating. Transmissions included the 4L60 four-speed automatic in the 1500 series, and the heavier duty 4L80 four-speed automatic in the 2500.Originally registered on 1st September 2002 this Chevrolet has only had the one keeper in the UK and has been used sparingly having covered less than 4,000 miles per year. These well built, robust American SUV's often have a hard life, however, this example is an exception, it is in very good order throughout. These are great vehicles to drive, with ample room in the cockpit area and in the rear for the passengers. The 5.3 litre petrol engine operates smoothly and quietly and offers brisk performance, particularly considering the size of a Suburban. The black coachwork is in very good order and the beige leather interior shows no significant signs of wear. We are advised this Chevrolet drives with no known faults and is supplied with a V5C registration document and will be presented for an MoT test prior to the auction. An extremely practical family SUV with substantial interior space for people and luggage. Consigned by Stewart Banks
1970 Porsche 911T Transmission: manualMileage:The original 911 series is often cited as the most successful competition car ever, especially when its variations are included; namely the powerful 911 derived 935 which won the 24 Hours Le Mans and other major sports car races outright against prototypes. The 911T was the first Porsche to receive the new Bosch K-Jetronic or CIS engine (Continuous Injection System) from January 1973 onwards. Often referred to as 1973 1/2, these T models produced 140bhp and also boasted the newer type standard H pattern (915) gearbox which, in tandem, provided a smooth yet powerful engine and proved great fun to drive. A contemporary Car and Driver extended road test concluded the base spec 911T was the better touring car, with the two fuel injected models being more difficult to handle in traffic and filled with mechanical noises. This stunning left hand drive, 1970 Porsche 911T coupé came off the production line in December 1969 and was first registered in Los Angeles, specified with an optional Blaupunkt stereo, leather steering wheel, and 911S oil tank and instruments. Owned for many years by a Mr Greg Craven in North Carolina, the 911 was imported to Europe in 2014 where it was the subject of a full body and mechanical restoration costing circa 50,000 euros, undertaken by Classic Car Services, under the watchful eye of Noel de Block, one of the leading classic car specialists in Belgium. The opportunity was taken to change the colour from burgundy, to the Porsche colour of ivory white. A full photographic record of the work that was undertaken can be seen on the Classic Car Services website (https://classic-car-service.be/porsche-911-t-karmann-coupe-1969/) and shows the high standard that it was completed to. Subsequently the Porsche was owned by Robert van Weelde, who amongst other things, played cricket for his home nation of the Netherlands! In the current vendors ownership, the 911 has been dry stored and resides in his private collection. The vendor reports that the original 2.2 litre engine offers plenty of power and the 911 drives very well indeed. In fantastic condition throughout the paintwork and interior are in very good order as is the engine bay, and underside. Maintained regardless of cost and following the extensive restoration this wonderful example is ready to enjoy. Offered with a history file including its current UK V5C registration document, previous MoT records, sundry bills, a photographic gallery of the restoration, and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity confirming that it retains its original engine. A desirable five speed manual example of the early Porsche 911, fabulously presented. Consignor Daniel Godin
1970 Chevrolet C10 Stepside Shortbed Transmission: automaticMileage:76507The Chevrolet C/K series of trucks were manufactured by General Motors from the 1960 until 2002. Marketed by both the Chevrolet and GMC divisions, the C/K series encompassed a wide range of vehicles. While most associated with pickup trucks, the model line also included chassis-cab trucks and medium-duty trucks and served as the basis for GM full-size SUVs. Through its entire production, the model line competed directly against the Ford F-Series and the Dodge D series (later the Dodge Ram pickup). The second generation was introduced for the 1967 model year and would be available until 1972, largely retaining its drop centre ladder frame but with a re-designed body to improve the models capability of being used for a wider range of vehicles. Options such as automatic transmission, AM/FM radio, carpets and two-tone paint were also made available. This particularly eye-catching example is a rare shortbed Stepside, which only made up around 5% of the C10 pickup truck production in 1970. The Stepside variants are favoured due to their box rear arches, which give the trucks excellent road presence. Our vendor purchased and imported this truck in 2020 from a specialist based in Florida and has enjoyed it regularly since. The truck is in excellent order following an extensive rotisserie restoration in 2018, during which it was finished in its original colour of Anvil Grey. This C10 is fitted with a 5.7-litre Chevrolet V8 mated to a automatic transmission, which we are told shifts smoothly and suits the truck perfectly. The rear bed floor has been very tastefully refinished in wood and has a removeable tonneau cover with gas struts, so it can be tilted up for loading and unloading. Supplied with a V5C registration document and an independent pre-purchase inspection, which our vendor had carried out prior to purchase in America. Consignor Fraser Smith
