Kiernan Cronin (Kitty). A Hat Box stamped K. Cronin / Lorha, containing a fur hat, another hat, a pair of gloves and some other items, the property of Kitty Cronin, nee Kiernan, at one time betrothed to Michael Collins, after whose death she married Felix Cronin, Tipperary. The fur hat is similar to one which appears in contemporary press photos of Kitty. A poignant collection. (1)

Fine Art Deco diamond plaque brooch, the openwork lozenge shape plaque set with old cut diamonds, the principal diamond estimated to weigh approximately 1.5cts surrounded by further graduated old cut diamonds. 54 x 34mm. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 9cts. Very good condition, no obvious damage or repairs. The central stone measures approximately 7.5mm diameter x 3.7mm depth, estimated clarity SI1, Estimated colour grade J/K. The four further principal diamonds are of similar colour and clarity and are estimated to weigh approximately 0.5cts each. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 9cts. No hallmarks or maker’s marks/signature. Setting is presumably either platinum and/or 18ct white gold. Gross weight approximately 17.3 grams.
