A narrow D-section hoop with scrolled and pierced shoulders, three collar settings holding a central `diamond` and two flanking amethysts; hallmarked with three stooks and a sword in a shield (Chester), `9`, `375` and script `Q` (for 1916), maker`s mark `T&C`. 0.93 grams, 19mm overall, 16.08mm internal diameter (approximate size British K 1/2, USA 5 1/2, Europe 10.58, Japan 10) (3/4"). Property of a Kent collector; acquired 1980s. The central stone is apparently a replacement for the original stone and may be a zircon.
