Britannia seated left with spear and shield, K in relief under shield, holding olive branch, on garter FIVE SHILLINGS DOLLAR, outer legend BANK OF ENGLAND, date at bottom, 26.77g (ESC 149 var; Bull 1931var; S.3768). Toned, some contact marks, otherwise a pleasing example. Bold very fine, the exact variety unknown and unlisted in Bull, scarce.

Lustrous tone with traces of original mint red, surface field marks and some rub to high points, otherwise good very fine or better, rare.The Latin legends translate as on obverse "George III, by the grace of God, King" and on the reverse "of Britain."
