LOONEY TUNES (1929 - PRESENT) - Collection of Hand-Drawn Virgil Ross Model Sheet-Style Sketches - A collection of 13 model sheet-style sketches hand-drawn by renowned Looney Tunes cartoonist Virgil Ross. In addition to working with Chuck Jones on the Looney Tunes, Ross also worked on Jones and Ben Washam's Dr. Seuss adaptation How the Grinch Stole Christmas as well as various Warner Bros. Television and Hanna-Barbera productions over several decades.Ross created these hand-drawn sketches in the style of model sheets depicting iconic Looney Tunes Seuss characters Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Marvin the Martian, K-9, Sylvester, Tweety Bird, Gossamer, Pepe Le Pew and Penelope Pussycat, Wile E. Coyote, Road Runner, and Tasmanian Devil as well as The Grinch as personal illustrations. They are rendered in mixed media on drawing paper with Ross' signature handwritten along their bottoms. Agent J (Will Smith) encountered many alien species in MIB's 1969 Headquarters as he partnered with a younger version of Agent K (Josh Brolin).Designed by legendary makeup artist Rick Baker, this mask is made of silicone with an elastane underlayer and features a fish-like design with bulging squinted eyes and is painted in shades of red and orange. This mask exhibits a split down the back and residue on the underlayer around the neck. Adam and his wife Barbara (Geena Davis) transformed into monsters to scare off the Deetzs from their house and retrieve the handbook of the dead.Originating from Tim Lawrence, this plaster bust with an internal metal support rod features an exaggerated face sculpt made of raw Plastalina clay and a resin ear. The bust features a "K" hand-marked on the shoulder in black ink. This head has undergone sympathetic restoration to the clay and has had loose components re-attached. This lot exhibits mild discoloration and raw clay that should be handled with care.
