Throughout the book, the assumption is that Hydrogen is the lifting gas, but the second half of the book is a notebook, in which are handwritten notes both for barrage balloons and USN K Class Airships. It fastens with a tongue and box clasp. It has a hook to the back of the centre piece, used to attach a further optional drop, which is not present. There is some staining to the interior. It appears to have once had an additional decoration. The interior of the bag has labels `MADE IN ENGLAND`. The plaque is marked `MELLANA`, `BREVETE` and with an eagles` head, for 18 carat gold, Paris, also with initials `DM`. It is stamped `750` and in our opinion would test as gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI2/I1/I2. Gross weight 7.6 grams. CR made 8th May 2013

Lot 1199

A Floral Brooch, circa 1880, the spray brooch set with a cultured pearl at the centre of the flower, and rose cut diamonds throughout, measures 3.2cm by 1.5cm, and A Pair of Ruby and Diamond Cluster Earrings, the oval cut ruby within a border of single cut diamonds, with post fittings for pierced ears The items are in good condition. The brooch fastens with a pin and hook catch, with a stirrup safety catch. It bears no hallmark, nor stamps, but in our opinion would test as silver settings on a gold mount. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; caratweight 0.30, colour I/J/K, clarity SI2/I1/I2. Weight 3.6 grams. The earrings are stamped `9K` and in our opinion would test as gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; caratweight 0.15, colour J/K/L, clarity I2/I3. Weight 1.2 grams. CR made 11th February 2013

It is marked with a worn stamp `18CT` and in our opinion it would test as gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI1/SI2/I1. Gross weight 4.6 grams. A Lady`s Diamond Set Wristwatch, signed Pryngeps Extra, later lever movement, silvered dial with Arabic numerals, bezel with round brilliant cut diamonds in white millegrain settings, lugs with two trios of diamonds, inside case back inscribed All Platinum, total estimated diamond weight 1.00 carat approximately, 18mm wide The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI1/SI2/I1. CR made 21st March 2013, on a (later and damaged) black fabric strap, case with surface scratches and dents, diamonds look all complete, plexi glass is scratched, dial with Arabic numerals rubbed, movement is of a later date and has been added, movement in going order.
