Korovin states that it will be impossible for him to visit his correspondent at 5 o'clock although invites Abramovitch to attend tomorrow's accompaniment 'for the lady Turskaya (aria of Liza from The Queen of Spades), ladies Zbrueva, Tcherkasskaya; for Mironov and Tartakov (romances) and for the amateur artist (Guardian from Neron)' and concludes by asking him to let him know if he will be able to come and see them tomorrow at 9 o'clock. With blank integral leaf. About EX Korovin refers to Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's opera The Queen of Spades which had received its premiere in St. Petersburg in 1890.

Jerome announces 'It was somewhere about the year 80' and explains 'That is as near as I can tell you. Next week when I go to my house in the country I will see if I can find any trace'. JEROME JEROME K.: (1859-1927) English Writer & Humorist. A.L.S., Jerome K Jerome, two pages, 8vo, Chelsea Gardens, 20th October 1890, to Mr. Dolman. Jerome informs his correspondent that sometime between the present and spring he will have an article of about 3000 words ready and that he expects the price his agent will ask will be about £20. The writer also refers to a booklet which will be cut soon and adds that he never heard of the publication What Women Think, and concludes by inviting Dolman to come and see him next week for a chat.
