The World's Automobiles 1862-1962 by G. R. Doyle & G. N. Georgano, 180pp, 4th edition, 1963, 8vo, published by Temple Press Books. Historically important, this is Nick Georgano's working copy with manuscript underlinings, alterations, additions, updating and marginalia. It retains the remains of its green DJ, otherwise in sound order, together with a soft-bound American published edition. Also, in the same series, The Worlds Motorcycles 1894-1963 by Erwin Tragatsch, 192pp, 1964 1st ed, and The World's Commercial Vehicles 1830-1964 by G. N. Georgano, 122pp, 1965 1st ed, with DJ. *1934 Sunbeam Model B 'Golden Road Racer'. With a 20" frame numbered B.501.2.1508, the 'Model B' was built with A & P 'Cromoly' tubes and 'pencil' forks, with Resilion Cantilever brakes and optionally fitted with the Sturmey-Archer 'K' gear. The re-conditioned wheels have new spokes, tyres and tubes, while preserving the whole machine's original Marston finish. Coming from storage, final adjustment is advised before riding. (1)

AN A K A RFA CASUALTY TRIO. A 1914 Star and Bar, named to 42799 Cpl G Palmer RFA. British War & Victory Medals named to 42799 Sgt G Palmer RFA. For some reason Sgt Palmer/Cotter the husband of Margaret Anne Cotter, appears to have used both names in his military career. This came to light when he was Killed in Action 3rd August 1917. His widows address given as 43 Somers Street, Southsea, Portsmouth. On his MIC he is George Palmer, 4th Brigade Royal Field Artillery, Serving in France from the 14/10/1914. Later B Batty 174th Brigade KIA 3/8/1917.

Kurdish village rug, east Anatolia, late 19th century, 6ft. 1in. X 4ft. 2in. 1.86m. X 1.27m. Overall even wear with corrosion to dark brown in places; slight losses to lower end. Lustrous wool on a wool foundation woven in a wonderfully rich palette including a wide bluey/green inner guard and an ivory outer guard flanking a dark brown main border. Wallscourt Hely-Hutchinson Waters (1855-1945) was British military attaché in Berlin from 1900 to 1903. He 'ingratiated himself [with Wilhelm II] by writing a letter of condolence when the Kaiserin died in 1921 and thereafter was frequently invited to be a guest at Doorn for extended periods of time. At the encouragement of his friend [American journalist Poultney] Bigelow, Waters wrote several volumes of memoirs, which were favourable to the Kaiser. To Wilhelm, this was very welcome' (Cecil, Wilhelm II: Volume 2, Emperor and Exile, 1900-1941, p. 322). (31)
