Mother and Child Bronze on Marble Base, signed. Kowalczewski was a Polish sculptor and the brother of Karl K. War. From 1895-98, he was a student of the Berlin Academy. From 1899-1906 he exhibited at the Berlin Great art exhibition with small bronzes and busts. Many models indicate that they were built in the 1970's and appear to have been assembled and painted to a relatively good standard. A couple appear to be broken and as a result are unchecked for completeness and compatibility. A good lot of the bus enthusiast!
