Rowena.) nearly very fine (7) £200-£240 --- The light cruiser H.M.S. Fearless was launched on 12 June 1912 and was part of the 5th Battle Squadron at the Battle of Jutland. Cecil George Legge was born in Burton Bradstock, Dorset, on 27 October 1893 and joined the Royal Navy as a Stoker 2nd Class on 26 April 1912. He served during the Great War in H.M.S. Fearless from the outbreak of War to 17 July 1916, and was advanced Stoker Petty Officer on 2 November 1918. He was awarded his Long Service and Good Conduct Medal on 17 June 1927, and was shore pensioned on 25 April 1934. Recalled for service during the Second World War, he was finally discharged on 21 August 1945. Sold together with the recipient’s original parchment certificate of service; various qualifications and ratings certificates; and other original documentation.

Midge was launched on 22 May 1913 and was part of the 4th Destroyer Flotilla at the Battle of Jutland. Thomas Henry Wilkins was born in Brighton, Sussex, on 20 June 1877 and joined the Royal Navy as a Stoker 2nd Class on 3 February 1908. He served during the Great War in H.M.S. Midge from 1 March to 17 July 1916, and was advanced Stoker Petty Officer on 1 July 1918. He was awarded his Long Service and Good Conduct Medal on 12 February 1923.
Three: Stoker First Class J. J. Wright, H.M.S. Royal Oak, Royal Navy 1914-15 Star (K.22812, J. J. Wright, Sto.1, R.N.); British War and Victory Medals (K.22812 J. J. Wright. Sto.1 R.N.) nearly very fine (3) £60-£80 --- The dreadnought battleship H.M.S. Royal Oak was launched on 17 November 1914 and was part of the 4th Battle Squadron at the Battle of Jutland, where she fired a total of 38 twelve-inch shells and 84 four-inch shells during the battle. Jesse John Wright was born in Bermondsey, London, on 24 February 1893 and joined the Royal Navy as a Stoker 2nd Class on 1 July 1914. Advanced Stoker 1st Class on 10 June 1915, he served during the Great War in H.M.S. Royal Oak from 30 April 1916 to 27 May 1917, and was shore discharged on 3 March 1922.
Pair: Stoker First Class G. Arnold, H.M.S. Unity, Royal Navy 1914-15 Star (K.16555. G. Arnold. Sto.1., R.N.); Victory Medal 1914-19 (K.16555. G. Arnold. Sto.1. R.N.) staining to obverse of VM, edge bruising, nearly very fine (2) £40-£50 --- The destroyer H.M.S. Unity was launched on 18 September 1913 and was part of the 4th Destroyer Flotilla at the Battle of Jutland. George Arnold was born in Alton, Hampshire, on 19 November 1892 and joined the Royal Navy as a Stoker 2nd Class on 14 October 1912. Advanced Stoker 1st Class on 14 October 1913, he served during the Great War in H.M.S. Unity from the outbreak of War to 30 June 1916, and was thus also aboard her when she was one of the seven destroyers of the 4th Destroyer Flotilla that was present during the Scarborough Raid on 16 December 1914. He was discharged to shore, time expired, on 13 October 1924, and joined the Royal Fleet Reserve the following day.

The collar is slightly stretched in parts, but all pieces are overall in good condition, with just light surface scratches, as you would expect and rubbing to the raised parts. the only point to make is on the ring, we have the four graduated diamonds, and by the side of that there is a recess which presumably held another stone of some description. The stone is missing and there is a small nick around this area, we will try to show this in a photograph. There is no box or additional paperwork for this lot, it is the property of a deceased estate.
TIFFANY & CO; an 18ct yellow gold platinum mounted blue enamel and diamond set Schlumberger ring set with twenty eight diamonds to the raised X, size K, approx 9.2g.Additional InformationSadly, there are two main areas of enamel damage, where it has worn away, this spurns several cracks. The diamonds are nicely white and facing up well, light surface scratches to the gold. Signed and fully marked, as you would expect. No box or papers with the ring.
An unusual Art Deco inspired 18ct yellow gold diamond, ruby, sapphire and emerald ring, the raised oval collet set diamond within a border of four rubies, four emeralds and eight sapphires, with thirty four further diamonds to the outer frame and tips of shoulders, size K, approx 4.6g.Additional InformationThe central diamond measures approximately 6mm x 4.5mm x 3mm, the size of the ring head is 15.4mm x 11.1mm. The central diamond is clear with naked eye and is fairly good under a loupe, with just minor inclusions. One of the emeralds is cracked, the setting is sound throughout and none of the outer diamonds are missing. The only mark on the ring is an indistinct 18K. There are a few knocks to the band, but it retains a good shape, in good condition and is a stunning and unusual ring. The stone retains the cutlet indicating that it is a more modern cut stone.
A platinum and diamond solitaire ring, the round brilliant cut stone weighing approx 1.75cts in eight claw setting, size L 1/2, approx 2.6g, presented with an insurance valuation from Christopher Evans Goldsmith detailing the ring as colour K and clarity VVS2, however it must be pointed out that in this report they also state the diamond weight as 2.15cts. Additional InformationThe diameter of the diamond is 8mm and the depth is 4.4mm, therefore the grading at Christopher Evans is inaccurate. The diamond itself is drawing yellow, the band has not been resized and the diamond itself is in good condition.
An Edwardian 15ct yellow gold garnet and seed pearl five stone ring, size K 1/2, approx 3.1g, and an unmarked yellow metal three stone ring, size K, approx 2.5g (2).Additional InformationThe 15ct ring has some dirt around the pearls, one of the garnets is slightly lifted from the setting and would require attention, the ring appears to have been resized many years ago, general surface wear throughout. The three stone ring has also been resized, has heavy scratches to the inside, is unmarked, one of the blue stones has a sliver chip to the top, general surface wear throughout.
