An Edwardian aquamarine, diamond and pearl swag necklace, c.1910, with a later aquamarine pendant drop. An oval mixed cut aquamarine claw set to a white gold articulated collet, surmounted with an old European cut diamond in silver cut down collet, and a trefoil of smaller old European cut diamonds, with a rose cut diamond grain set to a sprig collet. Trace link chain swags at each side, the bottom row with wire set pearls, untested, the top row with alternating wire set pearls, untested, and old European cut diamonds in silver clawed collets, to split trace link chain and half solid bolt ring. Tested as approximately sterling silver, 9ct gold, 18ct gold and platinum. 520mm long, 9.91gCondition report: Aquamarine drop is a later replacement - the collet is from a ring.The diamond set trefoil may be from an earlier jewel. Aquamarine collet tested as approximately 18ct gold.Aquamarine measures approximately 12.21 x 10.20 x 5.94mm0. Diamond collets tested as approximately sterling silver backed in 9ct gold. An unidentified mark to the pierced plate, possibly a maker's mark. The mark is an 'S' within an off-set square.

A Victorian diamond set, five star tiara, c.1870-1880,together with a Victorian diamond set star brooch/pendant, and a collection of alternative fittings, the tiara composed of a two row white metal frame with five detachable diamond set stars, the central three with a central cluster of European cut diamonds in cut down collets. The star points with rows of claw set and grain set old European cut, Swiss cut and rose cut diamonds, with blade edge bars between, all culminating in an old European cut diamond. The smallest outer two stars with diamond set radiating rays, to match the single star brooch pendant. All five stars with detachable brooch fittings and fold down or concealed bales, with assorted fittings to include three gilt metal en tremblant hair or fourcher fittings, three gilt metal hair fittings, one gold brooch fitting, two three-star bar brooch fittings. Tiara 60.66gCondition report: Would benefit from a specialist clean.Would benefit from some minor adjustments to the screw fittings on the tiara to ensure they sit correctly.Appears to be one three-star brooch, one three star bar brooch, three hair fittings for one, three hair fittings for the other.One additional brooch fitting.NB - the tiara has two styles of stars.The cardboard box was possibly supplied at the time the tiara frame was supplied, or a repair was carried out.x6 stars in total. A CHINESE WHITE JADE 'GOOSE' PLAQUE YUAN/MING DYNASTY The oval plaque decorated in openwork with a swooping goose amongst lotus blooms and leaves, the bird carved and incised with details of its plumage, with three small waves below, the pale stone with some minor grey inclusions and white mottling, 8.4cm. Provenance: purchased from Marchant on 7th October 1997. Cf.
