JD Kestner - A German bisque headed doll by JD Kestner, with impressed marks to rear of head depicting 'JDK 260' with an reversed letter K. The doll with jointed five piece composition body,and measures approximately 85 cms in height, has auburn hair and brown pate, features sleepy brown eyes with brown eyelashes (some wear and missing lashes to right eye), painted brown eyebrows, open mouth with four upper teeth, dimple to chin, blush to cheeks and wears a maroon velvet dress under white pinafore, and has white multi-layered undergarments and wears straw hat. The doll appears to be in Very Good condition overall with no marks to the head, but with some marks, chipping around legs and joints (with small crack to left lower leg, plus some age wear, and blemishes to hands and joints. The doll has a crack around middle finger of left hand, which at some point appears to have been repaired with filler. The doll has black wool socks and wears white leather lace up boots.
