An Edwardian silver table lighter in the form of a 'flaming bomb' or grenade. Hallmarks for William Hutton & Sons Ltd, Sheffield 1901, approx. 12cm high overall (4 3/4 inches, with a removable lead-lined base, approx. 123g of weighable silver (a little under 4 ozs) Condition Report: Overal fair condition for age, general wear and tear commensurate with age and use probably on a regimental table after an evening of good food and wine(?) There are 3-4 dents or shallow creases however the lighter has benn cleaned with something like a brillo pad or wire wool and the suface is now matt rather than polished. Please take this in to account when bidding.

A Gilt Brass Mounted Two-Handled Coromandel Tantalus, Late 19th Century, fitted with three hob-nail cut glass spirit decanters, with silver wine labels for Whisky, Gin, and Brandy, 13ins x 9ins x 10.5ins high External - back part of lifting cover with circa 6.75ins horizontal shrinkage crack. Top of cover to back right corner shows small area of fill. All gilt metal fittings are present. Key is present. Internally - the holders for glasses have been removed and glasses are absent. Three original glass decanters are present. Two stoppers can be removed, one cannot. Those that can be removed show very slight chipping to their lower part. Bases to all decanters show some scattered small chips. The neck to one of the decanters is badly chipped. All silver labels appear to be in good condition with no obvious damage/loss/restoration.We are unable to offer in-house shipping for this lot. A Collection of Assorted Silver, including a three-piece tea-service, each with castellated border; a pair of vases, filled; two differing pairs of candlesticks, filled; a silver-mounted glass vase; a paper-knife; a pair of modern wine-coasters; a circular box and two cased spoons, gross weight of weighable silver 17oz 4dwt, 535gr (one tray)In reasonable condition overall. There is a bruise/twist to the base of the teapot. There are some bruises to the candlesticks and vase. Otherwise overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The teapot handle is firm within the mounts.
